A lady wit5h an Indian accent called following an SMS. confirmed my name and DOB, and informed that the call was being recorded and I can tell her if I do not wish the call be recorded. I thought it was all legit. She then asked me COVID screening questions. And then asked me if I want her to book my booster jab. I told her to go ahead. Then she asked me if I want to go online and find the nearest vaccination centre around where I live or give her my address so that she can find. I got suspicious. DHHS should have my address. I gave her the name of nearest hospital and she said, oh this hospital , ok I need to ask you few more questions to see if you are eligible or not. I asked eligibility for what, she said to see if I am eligible for Booster or 2nd shot. That was it, I said thanks but I don't wish to continue and hung up. just before this call I was at servo to fill petrol, the lady at the counter said I f I grab 2 packs of toilet roll I'll get 10cents per litre discount. I was like how much discount will I get on my bill, she said $3, and the 2 packs of toilet rolls was for $24. Now this is how they trick you 10 cents sounds good compared to the normal 4 cents flybys discount but doing a little maths can save you from being ripped off. Don't know why these indians have nothing else to do.

Caller: Department of Health Definitely not a scam. Called to say I am eligible for my COVID booster, which I already knew I was. Offered to book my booster, however I said I would do it myself as I work in healthcare. The caller knew too much information for this to be a scam. If this number calls you, please answer.

Caller: DHHS Seems legit, got all my information correct (inc my last vax date) and ask if can make the booking for my booster dose, I said I will do later. He did tell me to call hotline or vax portal if I decide to book later. Seems lovely, not scam. But I think it can be combination of true scam and legit call, be aware scammer can fake caller ID too.

Caller: Department of Health This is not a scam. My goodness, it's depressing to see how suspicious people are and jump to conclusions immediately. Its the DHS attempting to manage the pandemic that's going on around you...

Caller: Department of Health and Human Services Genuine caller. Knew I had my first vaccine but didn't know that I had had the seconds because I got it done at a GP and the systems weren't linked. Didn't ask for any personal information.

Caller: DHS Not a scam. They're making follow up calls to book in your second Vax, if your first was at a state hub. Any details about subsequent Vax bypasses DHS straight to Medicare.
