Mixed reviews here. I got a msg but have not had anything to do with any travel permits or tests or anything. So unless they are now calling everyone who is due for a booster I wouldn’t trust this with a 10 foot pole regardless of what anybody says. Plus all these calls and no one leaves a msg.

Caller: Said they were DHHS Got an Australian male who knew my name and the date of my last vaccination. He just asked if I needed help to book my booster, I said no thanks and he said "ok, thanks" and we said goodbye. Didn't ask me anything personal or for even a name of my doctor. Only sms or call I've received from them, but while nothing happened, I doubt any government org like DHHS just calls randomly on a Saturday. I'm 50/50 as to scam or not. Just don't give them any details.

Caller: DHSS COVID 19 VIC Received a text saying I would be called by DHSS by this number. Called me shortly afterwards. Genuine call from DHSS following up my 2nd CV19 jab and letting me know I was now able to get my 3rd. Had already booked the jab locally but it does not show up on DHSS database.

received a text to be prepared for a call from this number claiming to be from some govt dept regarding covid. heavily accented caller with poor english skills. seems like a scam, also different number to the official COVAXVIC number that informed me of my original covid shot. I have subsequently blocked (03) 8624 4051. if its important they can email or write

Caller: (03) 8624 4051 Received SMS ' Hi, please be prepared to receive a call shortly from the Department of health on (03) 8624 4051 regarding your COVID-19 vaccination', just a few seconds before the actual call. The caller asked if it was okay for it to be recorded, when my second dose was and I should be eligible for booster. Then he wanted to confirm my mobile number. Then I thought it was weird, he is already calling me on that number, I asked him what he had , he pretended to look in the system, but he could not find it !! Hmmm... Also didn't do any checks that he is speaking with the right person, but he did call me by my name earlier... the way he was behaving, did not sound legit at all... The call lasted 3-4 mins with no real action, advice or outcome just spent a lot of time looking for my phone number when I asked what number he called on....

Caller: Same number multiple scams. Fake Dept Health I have had to block this number previously. A text this time purportedly from Dept. of Health stating that they will call shortly. Clever scam. Consider how the Dept. Of Health could realistically find time to call everyone about their vaccinations. Highly unlikely

Received this message this afternoon.
Hi, please be prepared to receive a call shortly from the Department of Health on (03) 8634 4051 regarding your COVID-19 vaccination.
Number rang back 5 minutes later one ring and hung up no voicemail message left.
I'm suspecting a scam.

Caller: Scam texts and phone calls Scam text first supposedly fromDH-COVID 19 about my vaccination status will receive a phone call shortly at 7pm on a Saturday night. Then 2 more missed phone calls and texts. No messages left that makes it typical scam text and phone calls, I know my vaccination status what is there to discuss? Do not answer these people! They could have sent email confirmation if they were legit as they would already have had these details, find and deport the scum.

Ok, so here are the facts on my call... I saw that I had received an SMS that DH would call from this number but I had missed the call, no message left. Next day same message when number called I answered & it immediately hung up. Next day after that same SMS but I just missed the call & received a message that voicemail left. Checked voicemail message which went for 1 min 40 sec -no one spoke but you could hear the occasional bang or shuffle in the background as if there was someone there at a distance. Now waiting for another session tomorrow.....

They didn't say the person had an Indian accent. They said the person had a heavy accent but in any event I reckon in the past 2 years 10 out of 10 scam callers have an Indian accent.

I would say your the racist scam munger trying to make a legit claim about a scam. If Indians do not want to be thought about as scammers stop trying to scam people, they are the racists bringing shame to their race.
