SMS in bad English with an incorrect name saying I had to quarantine until tested. I’ve heard this scam, they try to get you to pay for a kit to get mailed to you.

Missed call but didn't leave a message so checked on here. Would have thought a legit department would leave a message and usually call from private numbers also. Did not try to call number back.

Caller: Scammer Scam. Text message and then call. Beware and do not give any of your personal information to (03) 8624 4051.
Dept. of Health (I spoke to today) will only call from (03) 9254 4505:
"The Department of Health is proactively contacting Victorians to discuss their third dose vaccination options. The Department of Health will only call from (03) 9254 4505."
They called me saying they were from the Victoria vaccination department ( something on those lines def about vaccination), He wanted me to confirm personal details, so I hung up, no-one from departments/banks are ringing you to confirm your personal details, unless its a scam!!

Really have no clue if this is a scam or not or why they want the random information they ask for... The call comes shortly after a DH-COVID19 text message that states DHHS will call soon. The DHHS website states that these calls will come from a private number. The people who call know details that only DHHS would have, so if it's a SCAM they have been hacked. They asks for name, address, date of birth and email and repeat information from a pervious DH-COVID19 text asking if you understand the information. The caller is working from home, I could hear a child crying in the background. If it's DHHS they have a very unknowledgeable workforce.

Caller: Dept of Health Services This is NOT a spam call. I have had 3 calls from this number, following up with advice on Tier 1 lockdown.
Yes, one of the callers had a heavy accent, but this is definitely not spam, it is based in Australia on behalf of DHHS

Caller: Claiming to be DHHS or Alfred They are very suspicious sounding they won't clarify who they are or department or employee number. They get names wrong and ask the same questions every day. They ask for personal information and even state that protocols have changed and that's why they are calling. Got Vic pol involved but they say it's all OK. It's impossible to trust anyone now.

Caller: Jack - DHHS Called me advising I hadn't had my second vaccine yet and made an appointment for me. Didn't ask any details. Knew where & what date I had 1st vaccine and received an email follow up with the appointment. Seems legit.

Did they continue to contact and call you though? Because they called me this morning but I was busy so put them off and they've called me three times in the past thirty minutes.

Caller: 8624 4051 I don't believe this is a scam; they are ringing me because I booked into one of the Victoria Covid vaccination centres late last year using my mobile number and they were ringing to make an appointment for my second booster shot. The peronal ringing was able to provide my full name, and tell me the data of the first booster appointment I had made for early January, and that that appointment had been cancelled because I had done a walk in to a vaccination centre about two weeks earlier than my booking. No scammer could have all that information on me.

Caller: Victorian Department of Health Phone call was preceded by SMS warning that it was coming - SMS source identified as DH-COVID19. My wife and I both received the warning and call, on day 1 after our 4 months post-booster had elapsed. Whoever was calling knew our vaccination record as well as our mobile numbers. A follow-up call elicited assistance with booking a second booster from our local pharmacy. In our case this was entirely helpful, and I very much doubt scammers would have all that information (especially linking our vaccine history to our mobile numbers).

Caller: Robocall SCAM Clever scam to get personal info - first a text message from "DH-COVID19" telling me a call was coming from Department of Health on (03) 8624 4051 regarding my covid vaccination. Then the call. When I dont answer, a message with no audible voice is left - all designed to get me to ring back. Cunning.

Caller: Scam IT IS a scam. I have received 20 (twenty) text messages in 4 hours telling me to prepare for a phone call re covid vac. They rang once after first message. Phone rang once. Can’t block number as they will not be ringing from number in text. The number is legit (DHS) but is part of the scam. They are warning you they are ringing, you check the number and it seems legit but the scammers are ringing from another number. Smart phones are too smart. The message was added onto a previous text I received from DHS last year which was legit. Because the text records a legit number and department of health my smart phone thinks it is legit. The same thing happened last week with a text from Austpost. That was a scam as well. I’ll ring Telstra tomorrow. They should be able to ID the number these messages are coming from. And I have received 3 more messages while I have typed this

Received a text titled; DH-covid19, saying please be prepared for a call from the department of health on this number regarding your covid-19 vaccination. They phoned 1 hour later and attempted to book me in for a Winter vaccination. When I asked, the lady refused to tell me how old I was, but knew my name. End of call. its a scam.
