With voice recognition being a valid form of identification, isn't it possible these scammers are recording voices? This would explain them not needing to probe into your personal details (they already have them) and now they have your voice.

Caller: can confirm (03) 8624 4051 is legit i work for the department of health, this is one of the numbers we may use to contact you for certain details. yes there are children, pets noises in the background as many of us are working from home. also yes, we have a lot of skeptics each day wondering to confirm our identity which isn't a problem for us and if you have doubts we will refer you to the DH number. shouldn't have to say this but we all come from different backgrounds hence 'accents' which none of you all should be bothered by its very disrespectful.

Despite all the comments about a scam, this call appears legit. They knew the date of my last vaccination and didn’t proceed to bother me further when I confirmed I had booked in my booster already and didn’t need further assistance. It’s just DHS.

Caller: A Scammer ... Duh Received a phone call from "The Department of Health". She confirmed my full name (which can be illegally purchased by scammers to make themselves seem "legit"). After informing me that I would be giving my personal information over the phone and to agree with this I hung up. Nothing about the call seemed professional and I suggest you all hang up instantly. To the "people" claiming this isn't a scammer, and contradicting the majority, you are clearly the scammers trying to confuse people who actually earn their money honestly. Imagine trying to take someone's hard earned cash after surviving through a pandemic, what a world we live in.

Looks like a scam as the message was worded poorly. Have had plenty of calls from DHHS but never this late unless I've been in an exposure site. Haven't heard anyone ever say calls are made to book a vaccine. If there was something wrong with the vaccine batch I would've been contacted by the place i received it.

Lady called me saying she was from Department of Health. Had my name which really isn’t surprising as scammers can buy this information illegally. Avoid number and hang up instantly

Caller: DHHS Received a text message letting me know I would receive a call from this number and that it was the DHHS calling regarding my COVID-19 vaccination. They were just calling to let me know that I'm due for my booster and were offering to book in a session for me. I had already booked my own session so we just ended the conversation. No other input needed from me and I didn't have to provide any personal information over the phone.

Seemed legit to me.
They called - I didn't answer first time. I was wary and checked these sites first. There were enough people saying it was legit.
Got another text and answered the next call and the caller told me I was due for a booster, I explained I'd already had it recently. That was it. Nobody asked for my intimate details. There was no sign anyone was phishing for personal details or wanting me to fork out money for anything.
I also just called the number (Sunday) and got a DHS voice message. Still sounded legit.

Caller: Scam Call. Received a text message then a call wanting to book in my booster shot, I advised that I didn’t need to be booked in. Female caller with Indian accent was almost forceful and demanded I handover my personal information to book in the booster shot. Being involved in state government this is 100% a scam call to gain information by deception for identity theft.
