I received several texts and calls from this number indicating that they were from the Victorian Department of health.
One call they said they needed to speak to a person called 'Rob' about being a primary close contact of a person who has COVID-19 or has attended an exposure site. My name isn't Rob, and when I asked where the exposure site was they were not able to provide that information.
Another call they said they needed to speak to a person called 'Haris' about being a primary close contact of a person who has COVID-19 or has attended an exposure site. When I asked where the exposure site was they were not able to provide that information.
Strange that I'm in NSW and have not visited or had a visitor from Victoria.

Hello Everyone, If anyone in this group say that this is a legit number, why dont DHHS putup this number on their website so that we dont have any Q's or concerns about it?

Either ways, when we call them on the same number, an IVR responds that they will call us back.

This is not a scam number. It is the Covid 19 team at DHS. How do I know? I gave them 0 information except confirmed my name and they knew the date time and location of my next booking. Please answer the calls

The caller knew my full name and the date I had booked by 2nd vaccination. Said it was possible to change my booking earlier, and asked if I wanted to change. I declined and that was it. Seems pretty legit to me

I receieved a text message stating "Hi, please be prepared to receive a call from the Department of Health on 61 3 8624 4051 regarding your Covid-19 vaccination appointment". I notice they did not include my name in the "hi" part. Witin seconds my phone rang, only the once, and hung up before I could answer. Becuase of the multitude of scams I am suspisious of this message and call. I ended up googling and calling the Covid hotline who could see no issue with my appointment. Unfortunately they could not confirm whether anyone from Dept of Health had tried to call. Could be legit, but with the volume of scammers out there I just don't trust this.

This number is legitimate. It’s part of their contact tracing team. They’re sourcing more information to investigate further infection sites.

Got a DHHS prep text then a call without my phone ringing: Stating about a jab appointment which I cancelled, because walk-in pfz jabs were available now.
Then I just thought while dialing them back; Who works on a Sunday?!

This is legit DHHS number, they were following up why I cancelled my second dose at one of the hubs but I informed them I had it at my drs. The person said when I got my first, I didn’t give out any private information anyway.
