Caller: (03) 8624 4051 Department Of health ? This is a scam. But what concerns me is they did have our name correct, also had the date of when we had our second covid vaccination. They were trying to book us in for our booster, but we already had our booster. If this was a legit call, they would also have had known this. Then they wanted to know who else was in our household and weather they had their vaccinations. We hung up. It seems they had some info about us but were trying hard to get more information. This is identity theft, a scam.

I got a call from this number today about getting my booster shot. The lady who called had all the details about my previous shots and I gave no information. I booked into my booster and got an email confirmation and the appointment is in my DHHS profile. So if this is a scam, it’s a weird one that actually books your appointment. The only reason I looked the number up is because my husband also got the call but ignored it and then told me he thought it was a scam.

This number called my phone. Didn’t answer as I didn’t know the number. No message left. If it was important they would have left a message.

Caller: DHSS - Accent Asian Phoned Australia Day - Very Suspicious I declined phone record for training purposes Called me by my Christian Name - (Only friends do that) Had the correct date of last vaccination and when asked what the purpose of the call was He said he wanted to book my booster I had booked it 2 days earlier and charged him with wasting my time and if he was legit in using the DHSS information why couldnt he see that. He slammed the phone down on me !!!!
Conclusion - DHSS are pushing for vax booster numbers utilising overseas call center's that dont have the full picture - Little wonder chaos ensues

Caller: Heavily accented individual claiming to be Vic Gov Health Tried to confirm my name which I ignored and asked what the call was about. Told me I was eligible for booster. Told him I knew and had already booked it. Asked where and when I was booked in, told him I was not sharing that data. Hung up.
Did not smell right.

100% scam. Love the post further down pulling out the tired old ‘R’ word. Hate to break this to you but 90% of the worlds scam calls come from 2 countries. One of them starting with ‘I’ so get over it. No caller would ever ask for your DOB and address…….ever. Without them having appropriate reverse ID. Plus when you register for the QR app you give certain information including email which they should be able to tell you.

(03) 8624 4051 is a scam number! Do not answer and block! Ones here claiming it’s not a scam are in on the scam. DHHS would not ask for the details they are requesting over the phone because they already know that information.

Caller: I don’t know Called at 9am on a public holiday, one minute after sending the text saying that I’ll get a call about my covid vax. Didn’t leave a message and when I called back, I got a recorded message telling me they’ll try to call me again. From what I can tell, it’s not legit, especially a government organisation working on a public holiday.
