I received today received this scripted all from Jason O'connor for tax evasion which is laughable. I supposed to respond before I am arrested for Fraud. Thanks to all for your comments which have let me laugh at this silly mans recording... Obviously a machine as he missed the beginning of the message.

just had the call from a weird indian dude pretending to be jason o connor from the "Australian Tax Office" saying there was a lawsuit filed against our name and the police have shown up "In our local area" yet he did not describe what the local area was. there were no police. he left a number (02) 9119 2972 [but 6140 3485 was the real number of this idiot] I looked up the number and it did not link to the Australian Taxation Office. SCAM !

The number is now (02) 9119 2972. Same name though.

This guy is still doing the rounds. just tried to con a co-worker of mine. Saying he was from ATO etc

Got 2 messages one my phone about an ATO legal petition complaint regarding tax fraud and that there was a warrant for my arrest. First message was from Jason O'connor (02) 6064 2057. 2nd message from Officer Benjamin Franklin (07) 5321 3043. haha do they think we are that dumb!!! I didn't call back.

Just had a call (home voicemail) from this joker. His number is 02 6064.2057. Looking forward to calling him back - repeatedly!

I got the call today left message in my answer machine the number to call back now has changed is (02) 6064 2057 be aware it is a scam

Just got a phone call from Jason O'Connor (strong Indian accent). Would not draw breath, kept telling me that there was a court case against me for tax evasion and to call back this number. As soon as he had repeated his spiel twice, he automatically hung up - did not want to talk. Funny thing is, I am an accountant and tax agent - are you kidding me? I couldn't stop laughing - these idiots should find out who they are calling first. As if I would fall for this nonsense. Maybe they should have a look on reverse Australia and find out that everyone knows their scam.

Everyone who gets this call please remember this the ATO would never call you they would send a letter and address you by your real name.

Yes we have received this call twice, and we know that they are scammers, you can tell in many ways especially how they are reading out what they are saying. But some people still fall for this but I can tell you we are not.

I also just received a message from Jason O'Connor - thank goodness I checked for scams on the internet - I'm just intrigued about what he actually wants - is he asking for money or account details? Also, he probably should change his name - he doesnt sound like a Jason O'Connor! I also notice that he's been doing this for quite a long time now - a persistent fellow!

I just rang these idiots back and pretended for a bit that i didn't know they were a scam......then i lashed out and called him all the names under the sun, then he politely told me to suck his ?&%#, so then i kept him talking........they are not in australia, there are 40 of them in this business, they collect from innocent people EVERY DAY about $5,000 to $10,000 and he then proceeded to invite me to join them.....told me it was a very lucrative business.....hahaha i told him i recorded the conversation and he said "there is nothing you can do to find us or hurt us" how scary it that!!

A client has just received a call from Jason O'Conner. He was threatening going to the police to arrest this person as he had evaded tax. This is a SCAM. Please BEWARE. Call was made to home phone.

YEP J'OC has just rung us with his Indo/Irish accent obviously a scam but he is obviously bloody persistent and cannot believe the law has not caught up with him yet. Would be scary for some elderly folks c'mon bobbies....get the p....k off the phone and in the clink..using vic no (03) 5234 5035
