I save cold callers numbers and use them for online quotes. (even if I don't need a quote, hit the back button and enter another number and another and another) Let the a$$holes call each other.

We just had a call left on our answering machine from Jason O'Connor from the ATO Irish name Indian accent. Tells us that the police will be calling into our house and that we are to call him back. Does he think that we are stupid!!!!
As IF the ATO would phone your house and leave a msg of that nature.

I received a call from Jason O'Connor leaving a message for me to call back immediately regarding a criminal case against me, he said he was from the Commonwealth Court.

I returned his call and he said he was Jason O'Connor however, mid way through his name changed to James Anderson.

He told me to listen carefully, this was a VERY SERIOUS tax file fraud case against the tax office. He told listen and not to interrupt. He said the police will be contacting me in 45 minutes to take my car. he told me all my assets had been frozen and passport cancelled.

Honestly, people need a life!!!!!

Just had this same message from this wanker. Sounded like he was using digital voice box. Such a scam no details doesn't say your name nothing just rambles on with a load of crap.

Just found message left on my message bank from Jason O'Connor claiming to be from ATO and police would be coming around for a lawsuit. What an idiot. Won't be calling him back.

Jason (Gupta) O'Connor left a message to call him on (02) 8310 5583 & telling me the police were coming to my door. As if.

I had a message left on my home phone saying he was Jason O'Connor from the ATO about Tax evasion. There was no ref number only the phone number. Threatened with police coming to my door. Very strange accent as well, just didn't think he was as "Jason"

Got this message on my answering machine today. I thought it wasn't right and I'm glad I googled it and found this. I hope others do the same and don't fall trap to this scum bag

I received the same call on my answering machine today. Jason O'Connor has been one busy boy.

Also had Jason O'Connor call me from ATO regarding a Lawsuit for Tax Evasion, and a policeman turning up to my door. Call back number was (02) 8310 5583. It's after hours now, but I've had no success getting through. Thanks for all who posted here, as I was very concerned!!

Got the same message on answering machine from Jason O'Connor - same call back number - obvious from dialogue that it is a scam.

Same call today from Jason O'Connor on (02) 8310 5583. Shook me as I have a current Tax Objection with the ATO which has been dragging on for some time. Please be careful - each person's circumstances differ. After getting off the phone with Jason O'Connor and Mark Davis (Court Committee member), I called the ATO for verification. As it is, my Tax Objection is still pending, which can make one vulnerable when you least expect it.

Had the same call from the Indian with the Irish name left on our machine for my dad. My dad called back and asked him how he ended up with such an Irish sounding name. Not sure whether to order an Irish stew or Dahl from him.
Glad that we figured it out, but I'm sure he will get a few elderly people that he scares the life out of. Hope he rots in hell.

Same guy, same number (02) 6140 3485 just left an automated message for me as well. Really poor attempt at a scam - this guy is an idiot and I hope that he gets his bad karma back x 100.

This individual is obviously an idiot and amateur scam artist who is probably operating from the back of his mums garage. I knew it was all rubbish as soon as I heard the voice mail about "police" showing up at my door if I didn't call him back so decided to play along with this twat of a human.

Upon him requesting my phone number, I decided to give him (02) 8310 5583 as my number, which a previous poster claims got the exact scam but from this different number.

His immediate reaction was priceless. He hung up straight away.

Proceed to prank him back numerous times, and make your night an enjoyable one as this idiot on the other end of the line attempts to "scam" customers as a "Jason O'Connor". Oh yeah, not to mention its always the same person who answers the phone and though he claims to be a "Jason O'Connor", I am somewhat skeptical to this as I do not recall the names "Jason" or "O'Connor" being a common Indian name. On top of that, the ATO does not and will not have one single person calling with the same name informing house occupants they have a lawsuit against them. Come on "Jason", at least be more creative if your going to be a scam artist, because your a useless one at that to say the least.

To conclude, "Jason O'Connor", go find a hole, crawl into it and proceed to die. Your prospects as a "scammer" are going nowhere as you are clearly an amateur. Perhaps you should look into being a full time failure at life? Based on what people have encountered from you I would say you fit and pass the criteria with flying colors.

I had to contact him about a lawsuit filed against me for tax evasion.
Also said a police officer would be at my doorstep if I failed .

This person should be brought to the courts himself for giving false credentials .

Hi yes received a message about tax fraud from Jason Connor was threatening the police would come to my door hopefully nobody falls for it.

I got a call also from (02) 6140 3485 to me in Perth from a jason o'connor I think, difficult to decipher the last name as the person is challenged for speaking clearly in english. He says a tax evasion matter against me has been raised in court and before going to the common court call the number.
Ill be doing my tax in the normal way this year again so if any matters have been improperly raised then I will communicate with the ATO through secure methods.
