same today received a text message from this number stating that I had just purchased a Canon EOS camera for $2199.99 and if I have a dispute then to call the number. I suspect it is one of the Ebay scams that I have read about as the numbers are very close.

I got this exact message too. Number blocked. Scammers now getting us to call them?

This is definitely a scam SMS.

I received an SMS message this morning at 9:29 AM, 05/05/2021. It reads "Confirmed: You Paid $2199.99 for Canon EOS R6-HD-Camera on 2021-05-05, AMZ#50464120VT1. Customer Support (08) 7200 7080 If dispute. I have checked all of my credit card and bank account Internet details. There have been no deductions of this amount from any of my credit card or Internet bank detailed accounts. If I have time and am interested, I might call back later and waste their time.

Same as all the other message (i.e. suggesting it's a payment for $2199.99 for a Cannon camera) and sent from 0481 789 452.

What camera!!! Nah not me.

Their English is not the greatest either and the price seems a little cheap !

I called the number (number withheld) SCAM - Indian accent. I asked for her home number. she hung up.

Received a text from 0413 057 515 that I paid $2199.99 for a Canon camera with a likely fake AMZ number and to call the above number if disputed. Message deleted and mobile number blocked.
