I phoned the number and an Indian man answered from a noisy sounding call centre, he said this is Amazon. I told him to get (an expletive) life and he hung up on me.
I’ve blocked and reported to Amazon. I have not purchased a camera.

Same as above sms confirmed that I had paid $2199.99 for. Canon camera, phone (08) 7200 7080 to dispute. As I have previously had a credit card compromised, I had a moment for pause, but first step was this page with the phone number, thank goodness I didn’t cancel my credit card again!

I instantly knew it was a scam. Can the feds trace that number and arrest these crooks before they destroy the lives of those less savvy?

I just got a text requesting a call back on this number with exactly the same words.

Was sent a confirmation for a purchase of a Canon Camera from mobile number 0481 140 732. Told to call (08) 7200 7080 to dispute.
I hope all these Indian scammers die of COVID.

Got the same message re purchase of camera via my Amazon Account. Rang the number, they sent emails that looked like they came fro Amazon re the cancellation of the order, and OneTimeCodes to my phone under the Amazon banner, they knew my name, billing address, etc - figured it was a scam when they couldn't pronounce my suburb name correctly (....Vale), then asked for a credit card number to process the purchase amount to, said I didn't have one, then wanted a family members card details, said I only deal in cash...they said "Ok, goodbye" and that was that. Went onto Amazon to change my password and activate the two-step verification on my account.
