Caller: SMS from 0403 506 972 (?)

Confirming purchase of Canon camera for $2,199. For disputes ring (08) 7200 7080!!! Ha ha ha!! Obvious SCAM!!!

Confirming I purchased a Canon EOS for $2199.99 and to contact this number for dispute and a AMZ# receipt number.

Same message about the purchase of a sony camera to the tune of around $2000....this page very helpful because the number it came from was not marked as suspicious so I looked up the dispute number. Thanks Richard for your apt description of what happened. Cheers

Number came up in a text from 0434 161 830 saying I’d purchased a $2k camera and to call this number if any dispute.

Has all the signs of a scam. Received sms message stating ‘ Confirmed: You Paid $2199.99 for Canon E0S R6-HD-Camera on 2O21-O5-O3, AMZ#50154120VY1.Help-line (08) 7200 7080 For dispute.’ Do not call back or click on any links.

Caller: 0412 719 138

My opinion is this scam takes the approach “process of elimination”, each number from the list that they have sent this to, would most probably be flagged in their system when they receive a call from a number on the list, to that ‘dispute line’.. reason being, to have a new smaller list of people that will potentially fall for more elaborate scams in the near future, that they will concoct. Disgraceful.

Copy and pasted message I received from this number;
Confirmation: Payment A$2199.99 for Canon EOS R6 Camera successful, AMAZ0N#64424120GQ7. Call us on (08) 7200 7080 For dispute.

SCAM: received a text message from 0434 544 813 stating that I had just purchased a Canon EOS camera for $2199.99 and if I have a dispute then to call the number (08) 7200 7080

Same as all the others with the Cannon Camera. Do they really manage to fool people?

More evidence of this scam. Claims payment of Canon camera from Amazon. Text comes from a mobile 0435 782 216. Looks like this number was last used in 2013. Be careful.

It seems to still be going on as I received a text 3 May 21 claiming I'd brought a camera EOS R6-HD for $2199.99
