Text message from 0435 664 614, advising the my Macbook Pro order is successful, with a fake amazon order number. Total scam but I can ring this number to dispute. Not likely.

Apparently I purchased a $2299 Macbook. Called the dispute number (08) 7200 7080 from a land line. They then ask for your email address. Scammers trying to gather your data to hack your accounts.

Caller: 0483 811 898 texted claiming to be Amazon

received a Payment Successful text message for a laptop
asking me to call this number (08) 7200 7080 'If N0T' me.

After calling them, they sent me a 6 digit number (from a phone number only stating 'Amazon') which also said not to share the number with anyone.
then they asked me to tell them that number to confirm my identity.
(I hung up uncertain)

I don't think I even have an Amazon account. very confused

Could hear background noise like call centre but not sure if legit
