Same as a lot of others - received a text message from 0435 945 782 stating 'confirmed payment for a Canon camera $2199.00. Call us on (08) 7200 7080.

I also received a text message from this number stating that I had just purchased a Canon EOS camera for $2199.99 and if I have a dispute then to call the number. Clearly it is a scam. I have blocked the number (which is 0431 031 739, but they said to call (08) 7200 7080). Block them. What awful people.

Got same text today saying i had purchased a canon R6 mirrorless camera and to call. First thing i did was check google to see if a scam! Thanks everyone for posting up, sounds like would have been convincing had i not been thinking clearly at the time.

SMS from 0421 424 982 saying that I had purchased a camera and left foreign number to dispute it if I wished. Scam obviously.
