Caller: iiNet Sales
Unsolicited calls every four or so days to a mobile number listed in the do not call register, trying to sell me NbN (which isnt due to be rolled out in my area for another 9 months). My toolbox dashboard logs all these sales call attempts. My internet speed over the last week has decreased from 12Mb/S to 5Mb/s and, call me paranoid, but I am now suspicious that they are capping bandwidth to make an NbN lock-in deal seem more appealing. Needless to say I wont be staying with these clowns, iiNet used to be the best, pity they adopted all the terrible service issues of every company who has been in a merger deal with them.

This number (08) 6263 6363) is a legitimate iiNet Service Desk number calling to keep me updated on my service fault rectification.

Creepy stalkers IINET.
They saw my house was back on the market and started spamming me with calls to transfer my service, several times a day, I NEVER CONTACTED THEM!
I didn't want the hassle of changing providers but I cannot condone this creepy behaviour. So off to Kogan we go, same price twice the bandwidth.
Bye!

I have been receiving daily unsolicited calls from this number for the past week. The caller then leaves ghost voicemails. If anyone from IInet sees this post, just so you know if this daily nuisance doesn't stop I will switch my isp and you'll lose a customer who has been loyal to you for over 20 years.

This no. is from iiNet, however is not directly from Australia. I had a call from a person with a destinctly Phillapino accent - she imsisted she was calling from Sydney - 08 code? Wouldn't trust them.

Caller: iinet ?
this number called my mobile twice in a row, left no message. I then called back from my wife's mobile for security reasons and was told the caller was iinet.
I hung up because I have no business with them... then switched off wife's mobile.
This incident raises two immediate questions: how does iinet (?) have my mobile number? And do they read my e-mails/SMSs taken by their (?) subsidiary Internode?
I had written a very pointed e-mail to 'node the other day in frustration about paying some $A100/month and NOT rpt NOT receiving any service for almost two months now. The NBN has scheduled a complete overhauls of my underground line from roadside post to house post, but their people kindly strung out a 300 m cable along the road to get me a temporary 'fix'!
This doesn't work either, so it's the connection from house post to house socket that's busted, or the router has copped a thunderbolt in one of the recent storms...
I suggested a repair to Internode, upon which an NBN 'complaints' person referred me back to my provider.
It's then that I politely suggested someone, somewhere did something to fix the impasse... I made clear that my e-ail was not a complaint, merely a polite desire to see someone, somewhere get off their collective bums and did something to reconnect me.
If the above was read somehow by iinet and they put their secret sales force on the scent, perhaps the ACCC might have to do something about it?

Received call in response to an email problem I have.
They could manage the problem via email but they called so politeness there I suppose.
Email would have been more efficient.
Missed the call so I called back but got put through the prove you are not a robot routine..."please repeat the special phrase".....errr, no

Caller: IInet call back
They called in reference to my moving to the NBN.
The ADSL service is being shut down in my area on 8 November.
Chap I talked to had a slight South African accent, I think.
I am already a customer of Westnet – (part of IiNet now).
Swapping over to NBN in next couple of weeks.
Hope all goes well.
Eddie.
