Gee Wizz iiNet, I send a support email and you guys are calling me instead of Replying to the email I sent. If I wanted you to call back I would have phoned or included it in the email. With a couple of kids in the household who have naps, I don't want to be disturbed by phone calls. Unplugged phone from the wall! Ahh peace an quiet.. until the kids wake up.

I think you are very much not talking about IINET. I have been with them for 13 years and have stuck with them because of the very good service. They have four call centre, New Zealand, Melbourne , Perth and South Africia. English has always been excellent.

iiNet used to be top quality. Now it outsources its customer service overseas and they're indifferent at best.

This number is iinet (my spell check suggests inept) so close to the truth; they are at 24 Sangiorgio Ct, Osborne Park WA 6017.

The ACT government clowns sold TransACT (the best ever phone, Internet and TV provider) to iinet. Since then it has been a total shambles with wrong charges, took me six months to get paper bills, rude staff if you can find someone who speaks English.

When their equipment fails, told it is my fault not theirs. If you are into S and M, iinet will be right up your alley, totally frustrating.

Convinced my spell check is correct.

Not an IINET customer

Posted on May 3, 2018
Caller type: Unsolicited call

So, I'm not even a customer of IINET, nor have I ever been -- but just a moment ago (and once again about two days ago) my mobile number recieved a call from (08) 6263 6363. When I answered, there was nobody on the other end both times.

I have no idea how they got my number, but I really wish they'd, you know, f*ck off.

These people called me to talk about changes to my Telstra account. I told them to put it in writing. They said it would be 50-60 pages. I told them if it was that complex there was no way I was discussing it with them by phone. I am on the do not call register & have a silent number so this is unacceptable. They are still calling & won't desist.

This is a callback service iinet use. When a customer calls they have the option to stay on the line and wait for someone to talk to or hang up and have them call you back. You are still in the cue and you can go off and do other things instead of waiting on the line. If you are not with iinet a customer has most likely stated the wrong number and they have called you by accident.

I doubt this is iinet support calling. More likely a scammer. I am with iinet but have never needed support and never called them but they keep calling me. Number is blocked now and only shows as a silent log entry when they call. It is very easy for scammers to fake phone numbers and this is likely what is going on here. They use the iinet number as a way to get you to talk to them and fall for their scam.

Stupid fools from iinet returned my service query days later at 04:25 in the morning.
Time to go elsewhere I think.

Well it's proving more truthful, than ever before, that iinet are incoherent d*ckheads..... just had a missed call from said number... so i call back, to find out why they called. lady took 5 mins to bring up details, and made me wait, to then turn around and say there was no record of us calling you. Not only 7 mins prior had they... so my response was: well just like your sh*t overpriced slow internet, you cant even keep your system up to date, good luck loosing more customers, this one of 8 yrs is leaving.

also if anyone is looking to get iinet for NBN, just stick with you ADSL. iinet's lowest unlimited NBN plan it $10 more expensive for only 5mbit/ps faster than the lowest ADSL plans...

Steer clear OF IINET!!!

(08) 6263 6363 - Probable SCAM!! - Confirmed directly by iinet.

I repeatedly receive calls from this number, but they never leave a message. I noticed in other comments that some people said it was a legitimate iiNet number - and that they'd checked with iinet themselves, while others said they'd also checked and been told it was not one of iiNet's legitimate numbers.

We do have an account with Westnet (a subsidiary of iinet) so I phoned their support number 1300 786 068 and spoke to someone in a call centre with a foreign accent. I gave them the number (08) 6263 6363 and asked if this was one of their legitimate numbers. He said "this is our/iinet's complaints number". I explained that I kept receiving calls from it but that no messages were ever left and I hadn't registered any complaints.

I think he may have misunderstood my original query because there was some subsequent confused conversing with him followed by him repeating the number back to me to check if he'd gotten it correct. Then he checked the number in their system again and said it wasn't one of their numbers.

He then went on clarify that Westnet/iinet will never make an unsolicited call where any of my financial or account details would be requested and to report any further calls I receive from that number please.

In summary, I think those in this forum who believe they've checked directly with iinet about the legitimacy of this number (in the affirmative) may have experienced basic language-translation confusion where the call centre person misunderstands the caller, thinking s/he is asking if the (legitimate) number they've just called is the complaints number whereas the caller really just wants to ask if (08) 6263 6363 is a legitimate number. This would explain why two people call the exact same (legitimate) iinet support number only to be told the complete opposite to each other.

I'd suggest to iinet that they move their support centres back to Australia (instead of just redirecting calls made to their Australian numbers), or otherwise employ people with better English comprehension / English as a primary language.

Here we go again, it's their bloody Osborne Park call centre again wanting me to change my plan. After a lengthy break where I had complained and got them to stop pestering me some twat there has decided to inundate both my email and phone again. The number looked doubtful so I didn't answer and they don't leave a message.

I answered an unsolicited call from (08) 6263 6363. The caller, claiming to be from IINet, went on to tell me what a wonderful new deal they were giving me. It was presented as a fait accompli. No question to ask if I was interested in a new deal. Just, here is the new price. I refused to accept telling the caller to email the offer. IINet this is poor customer service.
