Ok I was nearly taken in by this person too....same email back in response to my email about the ad for a car and then there was another car I was looking at and I received the same pitch for a different car. Then I get the next email wanting a copy of my license front and back and request to pay today. I had asked for the person to Facetime me so I could verify their license identity and also requested they provide a copy of the registration certificate.....neither was provided but just request for my ID and money......big scam!!! Sounded too good to be true and that was the case. I have reported this to the ACCC as well.

I'm in the same situation as others reporting on here. I've just moved to aus and looking for a car to buy. Came across a toyota hilux for $13500 which seemed too good to be true but thought I'd give it a go contacting.
Received the same email word for word about the RAAF and Devonport. Claimed they couldn't answer or make calls on the base which seemed a bit suspicious to me. Fortunately I googled her name and australian airforce and found this site before sending the money but sadly they do have a photo of my drivers license and phone number etc.

Same deal as the rest of these buyers, all about Raaf truck etc. What I did to expose the scam, I got a rego search that showed money was owed on the vehicle. I mentioned this and got no reply, The so called Nicole sent me a copy of her licence, so I looked it up on facebook and that person had a totally different life than the Nicole who was selling the vehicle. So the real Nicole has also had her Identity stolen. I am just thank full I discovered the scam and didn't pay out any money. Just a point If you feel it is ok only do payments through secure Paypal accounts, not the dodgy Escrow.
Even better, don't pay any money until you physically see the vehicle and do the rego check, only costs $9
