Got call from (02) 9213 2700 saying regarding my NBN order and to call 1800 770 862. Firstly don't have Telstra acc and secondly no NBN order and thirdly area not connected to NBN yet.

Definitely Telstra - am awaiting an NBN connection. 2 mins after ignoring the call I received a text with an appointment time for installation.

Why on earth would any of you believe this is a caller from Telstra?
They say they’re from Telstra, they give you a real Telstra number to ring them back on, they discuss the hottest topic at the moment - NBN connection - because every one of you has to eventually connect to it. That’s all it takes and you’re all convinced? Lol.
And why would any of you believe any of the comments posted here? Could you not think for a second that these are the very people scamming you who are advising it’s “legitimate”?
Think.

Caller: 02921232700 Just got a call from this number. As always when I get calls from numbers I dont recognise I search up who it is before calling back. Strange to be getting calls from telstra as they aren't my provider. Going to go with the people calling this number out as scammers.

Caller introduced herself as from NBN/Telstra to see how my NBN installation went. She wanted my DOB and full name. I refused and advised I NEVER give my personal details out to any cold callers, regardless of where they say they are from as they should know who I am and they called me on my mobile..... She told me to call 1800 834 273 which is Telstra NBN support. I phoned Telstra and they knew nothing of it and there was no record of Telstra wanting to call me.

received a call who demanded me to identify myself which I refused. Said he was from Telstra and wanted to talk about my request to go to broadband but refused to talk to me unless I gave him ID ( We are in an area which is not expected to receive NBN for a very long time.) I had not made such a request although I had jhust changed my contract, He advised he would send me the information by email which has not arrived. I remain suspicious

Caller: Said they were from Telstra Even if it was Telstra, they should know better than to ask for personal details. This was my second call. First one knew my info and so I paid my bill over the phone. Felt uneasy so called Telstra and they knew nothing about the call. The bill hadn't been paid, so cancelled my credit card. Sounds like someone on the inside is giving out info.
