This number (02) 9213 2700 tried calling me twice in the span of 1 minute, did not leave a message, and calling me after 9pm AEDST. Surely this is not allowed?

Got the same call today on my mobile similar to everyone else. Blocked the caller. If indeed it is Telstra or NBN they can email me.

Just received a number of calls from them when I know already, due to my own calls to Telstra that everything is sorted out. Nosy fools trying to get into my account.

I had two very quick calls to my mobile the second one I answered. Female indian and she wanted my DOB of which my response was you already have that information infront of you, so I am not giving it to you. She was persistent then I said to her you give me your name, phone number and date of birth so I know you are for real. She stated that she cannot do that. I told her to send me a letter then as she had that information and I would then sort it out. When I got home I had a message on my answering machine too with a reference number, I rang Telsta and it was them but the operator could not tell me what the call was about as nothing was in the notes.. Then I received a txt from them for further follow up on the cal. Take notice TELSTA harassment is not welcome, may be we can all start a class action against you and see what comes of it!!

Received call asking for personal details re my FOXTEL service - it didn't seem right so I pushed back they said they were from Telstra. I said allot of scams are going on and she advised not a scam, then proceeded to hang up. I tried calling the number back and it hangs up straight away.

I've received one of these calls too. I refused to give my personal details (date of birth etc). I've now confirmed with Telstra that the number is actually one of theirs. I told them that both Telstra and SCAMWatch advises people never to give personal details when receiving a phone call from anyone - only give personal details if you have initiated the call and you are certain you've contacted the right company (ie. not just used a number provided on an email).

The caller was following up on our reported Telstra home phone problem, courteous-polite.

This number redirects to an Indian All Centre who are involved with the NBN, don't know in what capacity they act on behalf of Telstra for, but they know most of the relevant info already, when they ask "you" for it, it's just confirming they are talking to the person who's name the Account is in, if you don't like Indians.."tough"..this is why you see those protesters on the news protesting against "Globalisation"..they're not idiots...they've just had enough of this rubbish from O'seas companies

Billy I am by no means a racist!
When any one calls I would like to understand what they say instead of the voice on the other end going on in a language I do not understand.
So Billy if you receive a call from a telemarketer selling you something and you cannot understand the language spoken do you accept the sale or ask to speak to some one that speaks English.
I ask to speak to some one that speaks English, if that makes me a racist... so be it!!

Had a call on my mobile from this number last night at 22:56!! I missed it, rang it back & got an engaged signal. Mobile rang with the same number at 01:25 this morning. I declined the call. My landline immediately rang from the same number. Rang Telstra this morning & was told it is a legit number for a wholesaler. Now blocked.

If this number is a legit Telstra number how come I am receiving calls asking for personal info that Telstra already hold. Is Telsta's data bank compromised or is info being hived off to tele marketers/scammers ?

I cannot believe that this number belongs to NBN
Just had a call from this number "this call will be recorded"
I asked if the technician (big word for a curry muncher) is still on track to connect us tomorrow.
Response "this call will be recorded"
My response Fu*k off

Now that I know that the tech will not be hear tomorrow my son can go to his place of employment,, we have all taken days off to be at home for the tech, Telstra, the line layers etc that never arrive that I no longer believe any of their crap.

Interestingly enough being FORCED to connect to the nbn network has increased the amount of both spam & telemarketer calls to our phone.
They must sell your information to others.

Just received a call from this number.
This female was indian in speech and said she was NBN.
I have had over four calls from various numbers over the last couple of weeks stating they are from NBN.
If it is NBN how about some one calling me that speaks English!
After all in Australia the common language is English, not indian!

Copped (02) 9213 2700 on my mobile today. Indian male - wanted to know my wife's dob & address!!?? I asked to speak to his supervisor him: that is not possible sir. me: either you put me through to a supervisor or you can put your head up your ring gear. him: click...

Is there a cretin (read: middle level executive) in Telstra who actually thinks this sort of discourse raises Telstra's feces-dripping reputation in customer liaison?

The call centre waller doesn't give a rat's flying fundament - he gets paid win, lose or draw. Good luck to him (and bad luck to the former Australian call centres)

Just received a call from (02) 9213 2700 & rep left voice message asking me to call 1800 056 962. It's for the Telstra NBN Install order/case management team. I checked it also with Telstra and they confirmed 1800 056 962 is legit for Telstra.
