Suspicious call from this number on home phone then on mobile - Indian voice hard to understand said they wanted to confirm my details - information supplied by them for reason of call did not make sense. I hung up and said I would ring Telstra myself. Did not give out information as no way to confirm. I asked how can I be sure this is telstra - they responded by saying it is telstra??? sure.

This is the new Telstra Offshore call center. (Started about 6 weeks ago). They recently took Australian jobs and outsourced them to Mumbi India. Who would send Australian jobs offshore? It isn't in the national interest and wouldn't get Australia a permenant seat on the United Nations Security Council either.

I had this number call and it was related to a telstra order I had raised. They provided reference number and asked me to ring back on the standard telstra number 13 22 00. It was not a spam, was legit.

I had a call from this number as well on my mobile. I declined the call, then promptly received a text message informing me that my usernames are unavailable & to keep my order moving I must call a 1800 number. Telstra isn't even my provider!

I received a call from this number, they didn't begin with " Am I taking to" or is that **** so I told them I was suspicious and would ring Telstra and hung up. Rang Telstra they said it was one of their numbers but I was right for not giving any personal details, and their caller from that number had not listed his call on their system.

Yeah well i just got new prepaid mobile and first person to call me was this number, yet no one had the new number yet. Weird. Telstra are scaring the sh*t out of me as to who they give my details to. Seriously if Optis or vodofone worked out here i would change over in a heart beat.

I got a call from a non-aussie speaking person yesterday claiming he was from Telstra, asking for my full name, DOB, and address. Seriously? Its scary to think some people would have given their details.

They seem to be from overseas and working on behalf of Telstra, they noted some information about by account which leads me to believe that they are legit. I believe that this style of service is very bad for Telstra. They should support Aussie jobs anyway? Note: Note don't give your details anyway, you can always call Telstra direct??

Litetally got called by this number a couple of minutes ago, on both my mobile and home phone.
She told me it was Telstra and it was a follow up to the service I ordered yesterday. Told me the call was recorded and asked for my surname and d.o.b, then proceeded to tell me what the woman told me yesterday when I ordered the package (about there being no ports currently available). Thanked me for my time, and hung up.
She seemed nice and legit enough...

It is a wholesaler calling on behalf of Telstra. If you start a new service, switch a mobile number get an internet connection. ANYTHING to go with the lines in the street or towers on the poles owned by Telstra. You may be with a different company, but if that company uses Telstra hardware they may call you. Be safe and font give out your details. They should have them from your provider.

they called after i had requested a foxtel move so I didn't think too much about it. They asked if I had ordered the move but didn't ask for any other details than that. I called Telstra to ask, they knew nothing about that call and have informed me that EVERY interaction they have with you is recorded on your file so the best thing to do is hang up and call the actual Telstra number (132200). If it's legit, there'll be a reason for the call on your file.

Same thing. Left a message and said there was a delay in processing my order. I'm with Telstra but don't have a current order with them.

Telstra Help desk... overseas posing with Sydney number, just tell them nothing and ask for manager to remove you from their mailing list, every time you request anything from telstra they follow up with these calls and it's f*cking annoying
