Telstra outsourced sales department. Not very professional or 'service'. Trying to apply the McDonald up sell model under the guise of 'helping' customers with 'service'. Avoid them. If you want to upgrade your contract do it in store, though the official Telstra number or online. This number called me today doing a survey on buses in the city. l said the next bus is going to hit her so stop calling. This is a scam number Could be Telstra, but i have no idea really. The unsolicited call goes to voicemail but they don't leave a message. Well done Telstra, just continuing the same crap service we are used to. Called me tonight at 7:30pm in regards to a technical call I put in to Telstra last week about my internet connection. My modem had frozen, Telstra fixed it and the call tonight was a follow up to ensure everything was still working OK and I was happy with the technical assistance I had received. All legit. Pretty sure it's their "Complaints" section overseas. I think Australia Telstra has outsourced this department also overseas. Good luck for third world workers but what about how unemployed? Also the overseas one is abysmal. Go to the Telstra shop and kick up a stink. They have no right to subject us to this totally, messed up system!
Go to Ombudsman - anyone who will listen. The "service" they provide is a joke.
Yes i had rung telstra for the 20 millionth time about my sh*t service and this is the number they call you back on so they can test your phone line. They are an absolute joke these days. Can't wait to leave them. I received a call from this number, the woman calling asked for me by name, then asked if I was home alone and offered me phone sex. I am not kidding this really happened. same as above. Called me at 12.30am. Nobody on other end. Hopeless Telstra! Convinced their ineffective complaints, queries help lines, call centres, confusing and complicated info web sites are all deliberate screens to wear down customers so we give up and submit to their BS and inadequacies and poor management. Oh for the old PMG (Post Master General).
With internet down and poor mobile reception reported, I just love the recorded message referring me to their web site for troubleshooting.
clicked on a sms link to get nbn telstra to call back and my mobile rang once then stopped, so i called the number (02) 8291 1000 back to listen to a pre recorded voice say "we recently tried to call you regarding your account or service ....." .. seriously Telstra 1 ring .. hope you do call back again in the 45 min or ill start doing up an email go be sent off to the ombudsmen this is not a dodgy number. it is the number Telstra use to call you back. if you don't want them to call you, don't call them first dealing with this number (phillipines) for my upcoming NBN install..

Used Telstra's 24/7 online chat service but they were useless as tits on a bull so i just closed the window. Within a minute my mobile was ringing with this number ID. When i answer is just silence so i hung up, rinse and repeat x3 until i googled the number and found this page.
Is not a scam just sh*t service from multi billion $ profit company.
Checked the number on this page. If it's a complaints number, why are they calling me? I haven't lodged any complaints. Probably trying to scam me for more money. Telstra call back service. caller rang, instantly assured me he was not selling anything, wanted a 10 minute survey. told him I dont do phone surveys with strangers, gave an exasperated cry and hung up. I think he was having a bad hair day... ( Asian/Phillipine accent)
Straight away , I knew it was a boiler room/call centre but I'm not going to put how I knew on here, in case they read my comment, then they'll try to work out how to disguise ....
Yes it is a scam what ever you tell them DO NOT give them your bank details How come Telstra doesn't track this down and stop it they also use different phone numbers This is not a scam. it's a follow
up call from the Telstra Philippines call centre.
no comment definitely telstra ...i was on to live chat for over an hour and then she called me from this number to test the line It's Telstra complaints, but still from Philippines and not great service. What happened to the days when you complained and you got a case manager with outstanding service who was actually committed to solving your problem??
