Caller: Someone pretending to be from Telstra

I arrived back in Australia a few weeks ago and have received numerous phone calls from a representative of ‘Telstra’ about my internet connection. I have asked numerous times to be taken off the call list. The last phone call I received today at 16.52pm from the number (02) 6917 1707, again the caller said they were from Telstra. I asked again to be taken off the call list, he asked me why and I replied that I do not wish to receive any further phone calls. He told me that I would keep receiving phone calls until I was dead. I had to ask him to repeat it as I couldn’t believe my ears. He confirmed that’s what he said. I told him that wasn’t a very nice thing to say. I said I wasn’t even a customer of Telstra’s to which he replied that all internet connections go through Telstra’s servers. I told him that I don’t have an internet connection and he responded that I was lying. I told him that I have just moved back to Australia so I don’t have an internet connection. He said then someone was using an internet connection under my name illegally. I said something about turning off the internet connection and asked him what address was he talking about. He was very arrogant and scoffed at me saying ‘you don’t know your own address?’ I said I do know my address but as he is making accusations then at least tell me what address he is talking about which is when he hung up on me.

Just another low-life scammer. These morons have no conscious or ethics.

Scammer- indian accent advising IP address was being accessed over seas. Said she was from Telstra and Telstra own all lines. When questioned on this- she hung up

Female advising me of attempted debits on my CBA account last night for over $3K. Told her good luck as I don't have $3K in the account. She hung up on me. Reversed call back, engaged signal.

Yup, just got a missed call, no message - looks like a scam.

Said its from Wagga Wagga in Australia, didn't answer since I don't know or deal with anyone from that area, so would definitely be a scammer.

Caller: Sammer From "NBN"

Calling claiming they were going to upgrade my internet speeds for free, kept the idiot on the line for a solid 12 mins making up random numbers and facts. they finally realised that i was bs them and threw a barrage of insults at me before hanging up.

Why arent these numbers being investigated? Got a call showing from wagawaga NSW bloody NBN scam! The police should raid these places and send them to where death sentence can be performed!

Obviously a scammer. Who'd be calling me from Wagga? Never answer a number you don't recognise. If it's someone or organisation that genuinely needs to contact you, they will find ways to do so.

Unknown missed call, and left no message. Probable scammer.

Scam call about compromised Telstra internet connection. I'm not a Telstra customer.

I did not answer the call as I do not live in Wagga Wagga area or know anyone who would be calling me from there. I did not recognise the number either. They did not leave a message. Since reading the other comments here I have blocked the number.

WOW I HAVE LOT OF FRIENDS IN THE RIVERINA AREA , . some very elderly missed the call tried to ring back 6 hrs latter no answer. SCAMMING SCUM BAG MUGS

Just another Indian scammer. When I asked them what city they were calling from the answer was 'Australia'????? Asked what scam they were running today, Visa, Amazon, NBN? Promptly hung up.
