Caller: AMAZON then TELSTRA

Both calls state they originated in Wagga Wagga.

First caller said they were calling from Amazon and that my membership rates were going up.

Second caller (literally 2hr later) said they were calling from NBN and my line was facing immediate disconnection as Telstra had noted illegal activity. I'm not even with Telstra.

Sigh...

Recorded message thanking me for my purchase from eBay, and that $300 would be debited from my account. I've never used eBay. Scam/extortion call, no doubt. Why can't something be done to shut these folks down?

Caller id suggested Wagga Wagga. They wanted to confirm if a visa/mastercard transaction was made by me or not. Obviously scammers trying to get card details.

Caller: national broadband australia automated fenale

Said nbn was ready in area that our landline and internet is being disconnected to press 1 to speak to technician, I did, the Indian accent guy said we had errors on our connection showing up, asked what devices use the internet and he knew my first name although I don't live here or have bills in my name which raised red flaggs, I was suspicious and then he asked me to open google and search "my ipv location and he started to become inpatient and then just hung up, he beat me to it. Very dodgy, have been getting missed calls from spammers lately, blocked heaps of numbers but they are like fleas finding anyway through to your wallet so they can leech off a host. What go's around will balance them out one day

Caller: SCAM CALL

SCAM. Just answered the phone this guy says he’s from Telstra trying to tell me that my download and upload speed in the past couple of days has been poor and it affects security which is bullsh*t. Told him I’m not with Telstra, and I asked how long this would take to fix the issue. I asked him straight to the point what he’s going to do to fix the issue and he asked if I’m connected to the internet right now, gave him a dumb answer. He went silent and I hung up. TIME WASTERS.

Pretty sure this is a scam. Missed call from Wagga Wagga and then a fake Amazon call from 0424 048 378. I won't be returning the Wagga Wagga call.

7:47 call from this number showing up also from Wagga Wagga. Didn’t answer this time as I have received few calls from this number previously and it is automated from “Amazon” apparently.

Called from Wagga. I didn’t answer and they didn’t leave a message. Looks like it’s a scam.
