I chose to reject call cause I don’t know anyone in Wagga Wagga. I press decline because most times it makes it or then leave a message. It came up with a prerecorded message saying ‘if you didn’t place this order please press 1 and speak to our representative’ . I never respond through links etc soo just googled it and saw all these comments, of course it’s a scam, typical.

Said they were from Amazon and someone in California had purchased a new iPhone 11 worth $799 in my account. Said they’d help me cancel this fraudulent order. Scam. Hung up and checked my order history - not listed.

Caller: Another assh*le scammer I had two calls in quick succession from this number today, which I had already blocked some time ago as I did not recognize it. It is seriously about time that telcos and govts made a concerted effort to track these bastards down, block them at their source, and if possible, prosecute them. Judging from other comments re this number, it is obviously a scam purporting to be from several different legit organisations, ie, Amazon and others. Whatever you do, don't answer this number and block immediately.

When unknown numbers call from interstate and then leave no message, 100% it's a scam. Wish I could block this number but my phone's blocked number list is full up (that's how many scam numbers I've had to block over the last 6 months).

Caller: A scammer - said he was from Telstra Phone call from Wagga Wagga NSW (02) 6917 1707 (So the caller ID says) Very strong Indian accent - could barely understand him. Said my computer is being accessed from California. (I'm not with Telstra) Wanted access to my computer (no kidding!). Asked me to Press Control + R. When asked what happened I said 'nothing'. He said 'You didn't press it?' I said 'No, you're a scammer I'm not doing anything you tell me to do'. He said 'That's why I called you, I'm bored' and then hung up on me. Pressing Control + R is the start of the process to give him control of your computer - don't do it.
