say we had accident

This number just called me ... she told me I had been in an accident in the last 12 months. When I questioned her about where she got this information she hung up.

called saying 'maximum coverage' or something along those lines. I said this is a business and they hung up straight away

The VoIP provider for this number is Symbio Networks www.symbionetworks.com . So why not give them a call on 1300 789 653 and ask them to stop the scammers

Hi all I just received a call from this number saying one of my family have been in an accident. He said he was calling from the emergency department he also had an indian accent. I was so worried and my son googled the number. Why are you doing this you are a mean and nasty person. I hope they catch you!!!!!!

Somebody called trying to make money out me by pretending to be the Accidents Claims Department. It is appalling that this number is still active more than six months after it was first noted as a problem number. Got a call from this number today telling my daughter that her father had been in an accident. Fortunately I had been speaking to him. This is very cruel

They keep calling, but don't leave message, googled this number, obviously from other comments a scam.

Indian accent, asking if I or someone close to me had an accident in the last year as that is where they got my details. said no, but they rang again on a private number.

had a call this morning saying someone from this number was in an accident. I said "No" & waited for a reply. They didn't say anything else & just hung up. With another scam about my computer I said I wasn't too good with computers & to contact my husband (not married) at work & he might know, then said the Aust Federal Police don't mind them taking personal calls. Never heard from them again.........

rings landline - a silent line!! how are they getting the numbers with peoples names?? someone is letting things through security!!? who??!

Just had a call from these people today. Asking if I had been in an accident in the last 12 months ( which I have, that's why I thought it was a legitimate call at first) but then the guy didn't know my name, didn't have my mobile number or knew where the accident was or what had happened, which is strange considering my home phone is a private number and when I had my accident the only number I gave was my mobile number... And he said he was trying to get compensation for me for the accident, and was confused because I didn't want to seek any compensation... So I ended up hanging up on him without giving any details at all.. They need to stop doing this, I feel bad for the people that actually believe these people.

Same here. Obtained an online car insurance quote from RAC WA yesterday. I asked him for the date of the so called accident but he wouldn't tell me because of privacy laws. I told him to get stuffed!

Indian sounding lady said I had an accident, no I haven't I said and she said you gave me this number. I didn't give a number to anyone and she said I was lying and wouldn't give the name of the company she representing.

These people are the very worst scam I have ever run across. They called three times with the same bull story: We are from insurance company to get you money. Duh...I'm not brilliant, but I'm not THAT stupid

Just had third call today from 'Max". Told him I was on to him and know it is a scam and he tried to say it is not a scam, "no Mam, not a scam". I told him nicely to go away :) and hung up on him
