First time they hung up when I answered. Second time they just kept repeating "Hello". Blocked. Found this link where I could opt out of contact from Optus and/or third parties: https://offer.optus.com.au/page.aspx?QS=5c591a8916642e739aa4cd3db70a6b6050732ad7c816fb(03) 6368 0051af7af7838 (or http://goo.gl/wtZFEH if you trust shortened URLs).

The caller from this number is scaring my wife. Just calls and then hangs-up. Seems to be a stalker.

I got a call from this number on Tuesday (being an 08 number I have relatives in WA so I answered). They asked me if I would like to save money on something I think they said mortgage but I cut them off, told them I was interested and as I took my phone away from my ear to hang up I could still hear her asking.... But wouldn't you like to save $$$

Hi Tanika,

I have never given consent to receive any for of marketing calls. I am also a shift worker that typically does nights. I have been woken up several times by that number listed here. Would you like to give me your personal number so that I can make nuisance calls to you in the middle of the night? Turn about is fair play after all.

I'm also an Optus customer and have answered only once then hung up on. If NTC have any self respect they'll start conducting business a lot more professionally!
It's bs!

I rang them back and the message answered saying "Yes Network, OPTUS"
Unsolicited call received due to the unauthorised sale of my data.

(08) 9289 2030 is from Optus. I answered for the first time, told them I was busy then hung up. They kept calling me 2 days in a row. I noticed it's the same number so didn't answer. Now I have blocked the number. Everyone should do the same.

I have had several missed phone calls from this number over the past few days. The last phone call was today (2/12/2015) and the person (male) left a message stating my full name and asked if I was there. They did not state who they were or why they were calling me. I am an optus customer too.
Thanks for you posts everyone!

They have called me at least twice a day, every single day, for the past two weeks. I am with Optus and have seen a few of you are also with Optus.. Any ideas as to how I can make them stop calling? I tried calling the number back and it takes me to an automated answering machine with a prompt to call a 1800 number...

Optus customer. Purchased phone for elderly with dementia, how his friends can keep in touch. Luckily he only picks up when name of person shows up on the screen.

This sick telephone stalker calls all the time!

Probably one of the 'trusted' partners of Optus and they got the numbers from Optus if you signed any contracts with them.

Had some problem, no ability to block at the Optus level. There is a function on the iPhone that if you open the recent calls, tap on the information symbol and scroll down to block calls from this caller. Problem solved
