I'm an Optus customer as well. It rang a few times and I went to answer it and it stopped ringing. Thought I'd check out the number and here it is!

yeah this number has been calling me everyday this month, my phone is buggered and calls go straight to my voicemail so they keep calling. NTC voice solutions or something.

I've had two missed calls from this number. Googled it to see if it belonged to a business that perhaps had it listed on a website. Found this page. Have now added that number to the Auto Reject list. I'm an optus customer too. Not happy. I only switched from Telstra very recently.

Hubby just got a brand new phone through Optus and these people started ringing as soon as he put the SIM card in. They ring constantly, four or five times a day and always hang up if you answer. I tried ringing but got an automated message telling me to ring another number - no way I'm doing that.

I've just added the new number to our Do Not Call list - hope that works.

Got a call from this mob just before, same as everyone else I am an optus customer. Some guy with an american accent wanting to make sure I am getting all my benefits and discounts and he is calling on BEHALF of Optus. Starts asking me for my birth date and I'm like "Ahhhhhh no." He goes on to say he needs it to confirm it's actually me who answered the phone. Funny that YOU are calling me but I have to prove to you that it's me. He says it sounds like I don't want to take his call and says goodbye.

Sounded fishy from the get go.

This number calls every day and never leaves a message.
I never answer as I don't know the number and the fact they don't leave a message makes me suspicious. I am an Optus customer too! How Annoying!!! Maybe I will change my provider in the future!

I believe this number is associated with NTC Voice Solutions. I've had calls almost every day from this number on my mobile phone over the past three weeks. This morning was the first time there was actually someone on the other end... it appears they're canvassing for Optus. I tried to call the number but the voice mail etc. is not monitored... message advising to call 1800 283 174... no joy there... couldn't talk to anyone or leave a message.

Got a call from this number a few days ago. I picked up and they said they are Optus. I am a Optus customer. They asked me if I am happy with my current contract, and then said they can offer better deal with home phone and Internet as well as other service. I said I am not interested in changing anything at the moment, they can email me about their deals if they want so I'll have a look. Then they asked me to confirm my details (DOB and address). I told them I am not giving out anything as I am not intending to change any service and they call me shouldn't they have my details already? They just hung up and email never came.
I had no doubt it was a scammer the moment they spoke to me.

Driving me mental this number keeps calling and hanging up then got some weird message on voicemail about taking a very long lunch meeting then ringing me back. I am also an Optus customer.
