They call everyday and its really annoying - can't even block them on my HTC

Saved them in my phone as 'SCAMMERS'

I have recently got onto an Optus post paid service - this number keeps ringing me; when I answer no response - what is this?!! I'll take forum advice and block number.

Call from this number every day, they hang up. Now I hang up. I'm also optus and recently upgraded.

BEWARE: A number of family members keep getting calls on our mobiles from (08) 9289 2040.

I've just answered one this evening and he said he was Scott from Optus. He asked "how is your mobile service going", I said "fine". I then asked "which one in particular" (because Georgia's phone is in my name too), he replied "this one I'm talking to you on ending in 546". He then said "you've had bad coverage lately", I replied "no". I then asked "who is this calling again sorry?" He hung up in my ear.

Suspicious, I googled the number and there are a large number of complaints.

I was worried that somehow they could access information on my mobile while they kept me on the line, who knows these days right. I'll check in with Optus in the morning.

Must be an optus thing I got two called over the past two days

I've gotten calls a lot of times from this number and I'm getting annoyed. I'm an Optus customer to and I get called from this number at the cinema sometimes

Been getting a call from this number every couple of days for 2 weeks.. tried answering and they hang up .. they only let the phone ring twice. Also Optus and not happy about being pranked by these guys.

9 Missed calls in 2 weeks. No voice mail message. I am an Optus customer. From other comments on this site (and others), this caller appears to be a scammer. I will not answer.

This number calls me twice a day. I'm glad I googled the number to see that I'm not the only one. Never leaves a voicemail and I have been rejecting the calls. Now I've blocked it.

Received my first call from this random number today. Very unexpected as I've just changed my number due to another number repeatedly calling me. I'm with Optus also. Thanks everyone for posting info about them so I can just block them straight away.

I have this number on my auto-reject list, but I can still see when they've tried to call me in my call log. They ring at least twice a day, even after hours at 7pm. Being unable to call me isn't stopping them. I'm on the do not call register and that isn't stopping them either. I'm an Optus customer.

They have called me every day for over almost 2 weeks. Always in the afternoon. Incredibly annoying and persistent. Never leave a voicemail. Have blocked the number.

Until Tanika decides to come clean about what she and her company are doing (ESPECIALLY the highly suspicious practice of calling people and hanging up straight away), we could assume that this might be what her company is doing:

I have received three calls in three days from this number. Same MO every time, I pick up and they hang up. Not even bothering with following it up, I've blocked the number on my phone.

I got 2 calls every day in the last week and every time when I called back, there was no one answering. It is really annoying and hope that they can stop calling me soon.
