This number was used by a nice representative from Telstra who was calling me back, after we had spoken previously for technical support, to follow up on questions and help me with services. So, though the number is not available to call back, this case wasn't a scam or telemarketing call. Scanners are giving out this number but not calling from this number. I had a complaint lodged with telstra and was phoned by this number. My complaint was dealt with and my relates account was fixed. Just because scanners quote a legitimate telstra number does not mean that's where they are calling from. If telstra tell you it's not one of theirs, they're wrong. It's the complaints and complex issues dept. Definitely scammers. Indian lady named 'Sandra' who said she was from Telstra and that there were hackers accessing our internet connection. We're not with Telstra. I tried to explain this and she became quite rude. I was told by Telstra that this is not a Telstra number. Interesting how so many above comments have said it is legit? This is telstra support. Not spam or scam artists. If they start saying that your internet connection has been compromised by hackers - then it is a scam. Do not give them any information, and do not answer any of their questions. Just say Goodbye and hang up.
This is a Telstra number with a recorded message if you call it. It is not the number scammers call from, but it is used by Scammers to legitermise their call.
I was called also text by this No re tech issue complaints to Telstra - funny thing was I have never ever lodge any tech issue complaint with Telstra......it is my work phone.....so I decided to block this No. Got a call from this number in relation to a support call I logged with Telstra, not sure why some comments suggest it's scammers. Yes it is a legit Telstra number but........ they were ringing from far North Queensland according to Telstra rep that I subsequently called. It is a scam. Ring Telstra back always in these situations. Telstra team very helpful. Never give remote access unless you are 100% sure you are dealing with your provider. I was called by a call centre staff member (someone called 'Andy') representing Telstra from the phone number (03) 9107 5000 on 14.11.16. They had received my recent request for spray paint graffiti to be removed from the sides of an on street public pay phone box. They called from this phone number to advise me they have arranged for the request to be attended to and the graffiti removed, expected within the next month. They didn't want any info from me except where the public pay phone box / booth is with the graffiti on. This all seemed legit in response to my concerns. telstra level 3 technical support Probably a scam said" if you're Telstra you have my details so send me an email" I called back number (03) 9107 5000 reached IVR or a company called Telstra. Telstra calling back about a technical problem being resolved. This is for all the stupid people. This is a scam! These people want to open a back door in your PC to get your information. DO NOT do what they ask. The will get upset and tell you they will cut of your internet for 6 weeks. When I laughed at one of them he said it would now be 6 months.
Any post claiming this to be a legitimate Telstra number should be ignored.
A lady claiming to be from Telstra Technical Department saying that my internet was compromised and I should sit in front of my computer and give her details and could call her back by calling (03) 9107 5000. I didn't and you should not either. Call Telstra on 13 22 00 and report them. This is a hoax call. Obtain all details in order to lodge a complaint with telecommunications ombudsman. If possible tape the call. Legit for my case, but appears to be a number borrowed by scammers. I had logged a fault to Telstra Business a few days ago, this number is legit as they called back today about my case and had appropriate details including my unlinked non-Telstra mobile number. The +61 39107500 number is a scam. Please don't give out personal information, just hang-up and call Telstra directly and report it. They called saying it's Telstra we have had a complaint about your internet connection. They called twice today I knew they were lying as we are not with telstra. I carried on like I was listening than as soon as I said this is a scam I ain't dumb, they couldn't hang up fast enough. So yes people it is a scam!!!!!
