These people have been phoning me at least twice a day for the past three days after I first told them I was not interested. Now have them in my contacts list as "sh*tty Telemarketers Platinum Travel". I think from now on I might just accept their calls and not say a word, just let them rabbit on. After all they are paying for the calls and I have plenty of time on my hands to play silly games with people who won't take no for an answer.

I got scammed too. I was reluctant to do the offer but thought it was good timing as I have a friends shedding in Phuket. I thought $49 a fortnight was not going to hurt to much and would help save money for the trip.
The First Lady assured me that a specific hotel (where everyone is staying) was apart of there list. I thought it's to good to be true but great so made the deal to get charged fort nightly. After I the deal I looked up there website which- surprise surprise the hotel I wanted was not apart of their list.
They call back maybe 20 minutes later ( by the way they apparently closed in 15 minuets but were able to call me for a new deal 20+ minutes later- alarm bells rang then) to offer the deal to my friends/ family. They again push to lock you in. I eventually said they were not interested but they continued to push. Finally they said ok and let me go. But I did notify the second lady that I signed up based on the fact a specific hotel was available. She didn't really give me much of a response until I stopped her and said ' you are not giving me an answer is if available or not???' She assures me and 'promises me' several times it is there. I double check thinking maybe I missed it and obviously later I find out it really isn't there.
I emailed to get a refund which I explained- Two of your callers have blatantly lied to me to make a sale. There response was - we reviews the conversation and see they have done nothing wrong. I have asked for the recording as I go on to explain that I don't beleive you have reviewed the recordings otherwise you would Of heard your staff are lying to make sales. Well now response from jay Edwards who apparently from another operator said he is the person to talk to.
PLEASE IF YOU ARE READING THIS a quick Google search show people are harrsst by these people, scammed like myself, taking the deal and not being able to use it, and also grabbing numbers from somewhere without my permission.
Don't be like me 😓

I just received a call from Platimum Holiday club. They knew my first and last name and email and postcode. They said I filled in a survey, but the lady on the phone with a strong asian accent avoided the question of the name of the survey. They gave me their ABN and asked me to check online, which I did. Looked legit. I went to their website while on the phone and I also checked the reviews and scan watch. I asked the question whether the $2600 voucher for accommodated could be used for the total bill each time and she said: "Good question" and that it was 60% of total bill., However the $600 for flights would be able to be used totally for one booking The membership would be for life but the credit only lasts 3 years. I did not give over my credit card details just to get an email which I could then decline the payment if I wish in 20 days. My reasons were personal, also I just didn't feel comfortable about them having my CC details. Some others may feel differently though. I didn't think I could use 60% of total in 3 years to get the whole $2600 benefit, so the membership is not suitable for me.

I just received a call from this company asking me to join for the $49 per fortnight, i quickly got onto the internet when the lady was convincing me of how good it was, i then quoted some of the reviews from this forum and she told me that they could not please everyone, i told her that it does not look like you have pleased anyone as to the amount of complaints on this forum as they are all from recent posts in November 2016, she could not get off the phone quick enough actually she cut me off when i was telling her they were scammers.
SCAM ALL OVER IT DO NOT JOIN UP.
Search for your own holiday and you will find a better deal.

Holiday telemarketing! It may be a scam.
They knew my phone number, e-mail address and residential address. They asked my DOB. I didn't give. If they get that much details, they may access my bank account.

If u dont know the no., dont answer. Once answered, your no. will be passed around and u will receive calls from other marketers. If u dont answer, they think they have reached wrong person and delete u from their list.

ould not believe I was so stupid to take this phone call! They called my company phone so I had to answer.. I have entered plenty of competitions in the last month and I was told I had won $2600 worth of flights so I believed it! I sat at work for 30minutes talking to this stupid lady until it clicked that it was a scam as she would not take no for an answer when I started questioning things and she tried to get details. I had so many clients waiting for me whilst I was in this call and now I am extremely embarrassed as I ignored them for this call. I can't believe it didn't click for the fact she didn't even know my name. I am so so angry about this call and as I had to call her back it cost me $20 credit!!!! Do not answer!!! I am so pissed off!!

Figured out it was a point system/scam pretty quick considering you dont get anything for free these days, i humored this lady on the phone for as long as it took to get to the payment details. as soon as she asked for my address i said "no". her reaction was "excuse me?" i asked for a copy of the contract that i would be making with this person "as soon as i sign a contract then you can have some money" she clearly isnt a very intelligent scam artist due to her flustered reactions.

Filled out a supposed survey on facebook - never again. Received a call from this number and could barely understand the caller's accent.
Said he was from Platinum Holidays. When I told him I was not interested and couldn't afford a holiday he said he "understood". An hour later I missed another two calls from this number. This sort of thing has happened to me before, I have now learnt not to fill out face book surveys, they all seem to be a scam to bypass the do not call register.

Hope my message will be of help. I'll sum up the important details.

DO NOT PICK UP THE CALL.

The caller is from platinum holiday. The company claimed that I had won AUD2000 credit, I had doubts about my win and thought it was just a marketing gimmick. As such, I continued to listen to the conversation and what they had to offer. I was told that inorder to claim that "price" of 2000$. I had to sign up for the membership. Yes, I was right about this marketing gimmick. However, as I had plans to go overseas. So I thought paying the membership would give me a good discount for flight and accommodation.

As such, (not being in the right mind) I proceeded to give my bank account.

Reasons:
1) caller was extremely nice and helpful
2) caller gave a business number
3) caller claims their payment processor is trustable and can Google up on them
4) informing that I have a dateline to decide if I would like to proceed the membership so i could cancel it if I did not want to proceed
5) caller sounds convincing and said that conversations was recorded
6) legit website
7) after cancellation, all personal info including bank details will be erased
As such, I gave my bank details.

After researching about it, there were more negative comments than positive comments about platinum holiday.

Without hesitation, I rang up platinum to cancel my membership before the dateline. I've even mailed them. And the reply from them was extremely unprofessional.

The email i received was simply "OK DONE". It's not like the professional way of a company to cancel your transaction. Having even more doubts and worries, I proceeded to contact their payment processor (a different company) to Ensure that the deal was cancelled.

Conclusion: I think that there is such a company, however, it's a scam because the deals I have read are not good. You would most probably end up paying more than you should.

Hence, I would personally like to let everyone who have doubts about this to NOT believe what they say. In short, if you would like to book a holiday, book at the website and not through some deals. Probably scam. Hope this helps.

The first time was hold music.
The second time was Platinum Holiday Group. When I said I wasn't interested, the guy said "you don't want to receive your $2600 holiday voucher?"
