I thought they were legit and they said they'd send me an email of the contract, and I have them my details, what do I do? After reading this clearly it is a scam ;(((

This company just called me and took me through the same sales pitch. You are a winner and 1 of a 1000 people, we affiliate with Sheraton, Mecure, big name hotels, etc. Can I have your card details? I said there was no way I would give my details without looking up the company, to which he said he could give me their ABN. I said no thanks because having an ABN doesn't mean you don't scam people. He called me the next day and when I said about all the complaints online he said they couldn't please everyone. I said I would be happy to become a member but only when I book a holiday and can see the actual price. He said no and started getting very rude.

Thank you for that information. I told "Christina" I would think about it and ring her the next morning, but she said she would ring me on my mobile at 11:00am WA time - she is in Queensland, so at the moment my mobile is turned off! But I suppose she will keep trying and tell me I'm turning down a $2000 accommodation voucher and a $600 flight voucher, such a good deal and I'm only one of 1000 people offered this "prize". The spiel goes on for too long and sounds too good for them to make any profit,

After listening to their hard sell for 20mins then came the request for credit card details. said I would wait for the info by email before giving those details. They got very pushy and in return got a mouthful of good aussie abuse. They hung up. Platinumholidayclub is a scam. Looks too good to be true...so it is.

Caller said his name was David Gomez. Pestered me for a couple of days with all the same matters previously described by others. I looked at their website which looks fine, and initially could not find anything bad about them. Eventually decided I would join and against my better judgement gave them my credit card details. Had a really bad feeling about it as soon as I got off the phone so did some more extensive searches and eventually found this site. I was horrified! I got on to my bank as quickly as I could and explained what I had done. They cancelled my card immediately, which is probably the only way I managed to protect my money. Everyone has heard it a hundred times before, but if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Another number they used to reach me was (07) 3177 4281.

Don't trust any call from this number. They are using dodgy tactics to get your account details, dob etc to scam money. Block the number as they will call you constantly. I have had 12 calls in 20 hours.
