they call me the same time every day but hang up when i answer, i rang it and a man called bruce answered says he is the manager and is collecting for "blind dogs" i queried him over a website i could view and could he email me some info, he was abrupt and rude, he asked me for my email so i gave him my government email, they havent called back yet (not holding my breath) and he hasnt emailed me any info

We have been getting these calls 4-5 times a day. Sometimes the number comes up private as well. Luckily we have an answering machine which never has a message left on. Our number is registered on "Do not call" as well.

So glad i called them at 8554 6100 i was getting about 9 calls a day from 2 of there numbers wasting my battery and call back service....

Thanks Sue rang them, got southern Health they collect for different charities ect, the one I get the most is Wright management and she sounds like a 14yr old that did not learn much at school!! they have removed my number ? or so they say, time will tell.

Had these moron's ringing on land-line, so blocked them, yea great 5 or 6 times "a" day the phone lite up, PMSL no ringing lovely! bloody telstra useless as they make more money, threats to disconnect make no difference ?
Now getting them on the mobile, different numbers so far, (02) 8094 6453 and (03) 8554 6280, they have rang the wife on her mobile an unlisted number, asking to repair her PC, next day at an old friends place 90 yr old same numbers ring's and asks her same questions?? she replied don't have a PC and I am legally blind, but how is Collingwood going, do ya think we will win this year ? LMFO-rf gotta hand it too the oldies she new how to piss em off.
Had sms from TELSTRA earlier that I had missed call ????? no call this end as phone sitting a foot from me. about time to ring back the ombudsman and follow up on report! bye the way do not give FB, google, or any FRECKIN bugger ya number on anything saying NO is a waist of energy. the best one is to tell them wait a minute put phone down, step away and say from a distance Telstra trace please on this number ! case Number V ????? digits, as if ya on another phone ! and watch how fast they hang up ? pmsl bloody oxygen thieves and MONGS ......

Spoke to a guy called Kardi who said my number will be removed within 24 hours from the call list. They annoy me by calling every day even though I have asked them not to. Bloody pains in the neck.

I continue to get calls from this number, mid-afternoon. I have never answered as they never leave a voice message. I assume from the similar comments that this is a charity etc that have got my number from somewhere so glad to hear Im not missing an important call. Cheers guys

have been getting calls from this number every night at the same time..I have registered my phone numbers on the do not call register month's ago ...but they still call...something has to be done... i'm angry !!!!

omg this number calls me all the time at the same time. its annoying especially when im at work waiting on important phonecalls!!!!!

I've donated once through this number for so called guide dog australia. then received another call bout a month after asking the same thing. i said i'll think about it and asked the guy to send me a donation slip if i really want to make a donation later on. never did. keep receiving this call until now, almost 6 months, every several day until i remember their number!!!!!!!!! never picked up. they should realise if people not picking up their calls it means they don't want you to call them!!!

I have never answered this number as I don't answer numbers I do not know... After reading these comments, I am glad I have that rule -!

Just received a call from this number (03) 8199 0509) and I've missed the calls before but this time I answered. It was a man calling on behalf royal guide dogs Australia. Before he could say anything else I interrupted his spill by saying "So your not an actual representative of RGDA but your calling on behalf of them yes?"
He hesitated and responded with a yes I'm not an actual representative I'm calling from a telemarketing centre on their behalf.
I said, "well first of all I don't ever make any financial transactions over the phone, and secondly if I was wouldn't that mean a lot of the money would then go to paying telemarketers rather than going to the charity." and again he seemed thrown aback by this comment.
Then I asked "Could you please tell me what percentage of my money would actually go to this charity if I was to make a donation right now?"
His response: "Um well the RGDA invests a small amount of money in our company to make calls and x amount goes to us and Y amount to them"
"Yes but X and Y amount doesn't actually give me a figure does it?"
"I don't know how much"
"Look I know your doing your job I will not donate If my money isn't going to the cause and calls like this are only going to put people like me off of donating to these charities.
he seemed pissed off and said "we'll put you on our do not call list"
and I said "thank you" and hung up

I think this is a great tactic for anyone who has to deal with a call for a charity and it seemed to work quite well. i'm yet to see If I have been put on their do not call list it's great to take the power from the telemarketer too when you stuff up their script reading crap. I hope that guy calls from WWF today because I will be doing exactly the same thing then. They should be able to tell you where the money goes too if they can't it's the sign of a dodgy operation. :)

Has anyone here chosen to do volunteer surveys online??? Btw I'm pretty sure it's a scam and a false charity if what people are saying above is true how could a single phone number represent that many charities I've received numerous calls from them now and I haven't answered them.I have filled out some volunteer online surveys which are supposedly not suppose to pass in my info but I think they have.
I even had someone call pretending to be a centrelink representative (withheld no) that needed my customer number and gave me a 1800 222 666 number to call back and was an obvious scam
