Yeh just had this guy calling about the same accident within the 3 years story. Had to be up to no good with his aussie name and indian accent. I told him to bugger off and don't call again.

They just called me as well. do not be fooled, they are trying to get your personal information. They lie about everything to try and trick you. Ask them not to call you and that you are reporting them to the Police.

Just got a call saying that someone from this number has has an accident in the last three years, I told them they are mistaken and hung. While I'm typing this in, THEY CALLED BACK, saying that they are from accident investigation, freaky, I said I know this is a scam, do not called me back, and I hung up. Unbelievable.

I have had the same call a couple of weeks ago with the same story, but I had had an accident a couple of years ago, but thought it was very fishy, they said they would send out the forms for me to complete. I have name, phone number and licence number of person I was speaking to. They said that they were working on behalf of Roads Maratime Services in Elizabeth Street Sydney, and that I had been approved for a compensation pay out. I am also going to report them to the ACCC

I just received a call from this number claiming to be from the Accident Department They said they received notice that I had an accident in the last three years, and wanted my details I noticed it was fishy because the line was muffled and they had very bad accents. I made up some story about falling off my elephant but they said they couldn't get me any money for it. By the end they weren't interested because I was suspicious and just dragged them through their story to get as much information out of them as possible.
I have reported it to the ACCC just google report a scam and you'll get their website.

I just had the same call,from Steve Johnson,very Indian name couldn't understand him and asked to speak to a supervisor.my husband couldn't understand him either.wanted details of an accident but also wanted details on the other driver.rang back 3 times in 15 minutes.

I got a call at 12.30pm today from Adam Accident Investigation Service who said financial dept would ring in an hour. 1.50 phone rang - didn't answer. 2pm rang agin, didn't answer. 5.36 rang again Victor Smith (great Indian name!) from Sydney Claims Lawyers, 133 Elizabeth Street phone 02 800 67373. Unfortunately has my name address birthdate and Doctors name BUT not my mobile number OR bank details. So cross with myself as I didn't like sound of it and said so many times - very convincing. Im supposed to ring the number tomorrow to be put onto a lawyer. Im pretty smart I thought but obviously not!!!!

Said they were accident investigation and mentioned the Philippines. Took several attempts to understand the name because of the very strong accent.
Had heard about this scam a while back so answered with No this is a scam and hung up. It was from (02) 8006 7373. Why can't this be stopped? There is a traceable number.

Yup...got a call today claiming to be from Sydney Claims Lawyers about paperwork to come to door re compensation from a car accident in the last few months. He was determined that he was legitimate claiming I could call this number to authenticate. I grilled him as to why the insurance companies involved (had this happenend) weren't communicating....to which he replied. ....that something something the names had been deleted from the computer file!

I just received a call from this number claiming to be from the Accident Investigation Department? Then Hung up. I called the number back and some guy said they were from MLC? When I said I hadn't had an accident in the last three years he hung up?

I am going to Contact MLC and see if they know anything about it?

Similar, a call from Peter saying that someone in our household has had an accident in the last 3 years. He stated that he received information from the Department of Humans Services regarding this accident but could not tell me the name of the person involved. He then claimed that they have an office at 3/130 Elizabeth Street, Sydney. "CMC, Claims Management Company".
Looks to me like a scam and I won't be calling back.

Scam. Received a call to my fax number (which in itself is suspicious as we don't provide it to people willy nilly) claiming to be from Sydney Claims Lawyers about an "accident" within the past 3 years. They couldn't provide any details of the parties involved in this "accident" and were very evasive when questioned about the details of this "accident". I got the caller's name - Kim, an Indian lady. Haven't called back and don't intend to.

SCAM- Someone calling from Accident Investigation apparently someone from my household had reported that they had an accident in the last three years. These people should be banned from calling Australian residents!!!!!!!njh

They also provided us with a local number (07) 3040 2112 - SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

They do the same to us. Even when I tell them the number they are calling on is not listed so noone would give them this number they get quite "shirty" and demanding saying that they are a government department and the information came from a government depart called "personal accident department". Really?? they must think we all a bit gullible. They don't answer when I called back.

Forgot to mention they called 6 times in 15minutes
