Yeah these guys have called a few times. I asked for their number and this is the number they told me. Apparently i had an accident but they couldn't tell me where or when. I asked them did i hit someone or did someone hit me. all they could say is someone related to my phone number was in an accident and they could not disclose any other information. Their phone number didn't come up on my home phone but all it said was "overseas caller". Obviously scamming something out of me. They say they are calling from a solicitors firm in Sydney. YEAH RIGHT. They must think we are stupid. I will ask them what the weather is like next time and an ever more basic question like what season is it.

Just had a call today (04.08.2014) no one was talking, so this scammer still exist

We are a business in Tumut. On the 24th July 2014, we were rung at least 10 times within half an hour across 4 different phone lines. Two of which are not listed anywhere! They were phishing for if anyone at this number had an accident in the last 3 years. We kept a couple of them on the line asking all sorts of questions, like what is the weather was like in Sydney and how they got to work this morning. They avoided answering such questions. It is quite frightening to see what levels these scammers went to organising this scam -a web page for the company and a Sydney phone number- that was only attached to an answering machine. We were lucky to be awake to this one early due to the time delay when receiving the call (usually highlights it is an overseas call) and that they could not tell us who had the accident. We would hate for the frail and elderly to get stung by this scam.

Claimed his name was Brian, LOL with the thickest Indian accent ever!

Claimed our number was reported as an accident number in the past 12 months.

Rubbish of course. Kept him on lime for a few minutes then told him we weren't stupid, and he should get a real job instead of stealing. Another story to warn my Seniors classes about.

Just received a call from these germs called their bluff also reported to Mona Vale Police Station

Same information as below that it is Mark Wilson from Accident Investigation (Claims) Department, investigating an accident that occurred within the the last 3 years. I requested that the companies phone number be taken off their list as no such claims have occurred. I have also spoken with Mona Vale Police about these calls and for them to investigate.

Peter Watts called my 80yo mother who by chance had had an accident 2 years ago and had her convinced he could get her minimum $5,000. Luckily before she gave him any personal info she said she would have her daughter call. She said he was very charming and appeared to know her situation.........glad i checked Reverse Directory and found out it was a scam.

SCAM SCAM SCAM - second time they called, said i could get compensation for a car accident - haven't had one. he started asking for info, i turned the tables, asked him what he knew, he said he got my name from the RTO, all he had was name and my number.

Told him i wasn't stupid and it sounded like he was calling from an Indian call centre. Asked to speak to an English speaking supervisor - umm, he was too busy - yeah right!! BULLsh*t!!

I doubt they'll call back ......

Had a call from this number asking for details of an accident which has happened in the last three years, asian sounding caller started to lose interest when he found this was a Business Number, not a private number, could not give any details of the so called accident, said he was calling from Accident Investigation Lawyers, 133 Elizabeth Street, Sydney. told him to ring back when and if he finds details of the alleged accident.

Said they wanted to know info for statistics . SCAM

Well guess what i just had a phone call from this number asking if i had had an accident in the last three years. I said no, no one has had an accident from this number in the last three years. The guy rattled off my name and address with post code. The phone number came up on caller id: (02) 8006 7373

This number just rang the charity where I work and hung up as soon as I finished speaking.

Had a call from this same number claiming we were entitled to compensation but couldn't even tell us who was involved in the accident. We haven't had an accident

Same Calls on 9th July on 3 separate phones in my office multiple times.

Accidental Salary Dept (Might have miss heard that, really thick Indian accents)
Re: Accident in the last few years from this number, might have been a work injury, might have been a car accident, couldn't narrow it down.

Then I was put through to their FGinance Dept when I asked too many questions

I did call back, and a person answered and started talking from their script from the start.

TOTAL SCAM!
They're just fishing for personal information so next time (maybe months away) they call you again and they can address you by name, and have enough of your details to sound legit and you're more likely to give away banking or Credit Card information. Also they then know you're a bit gullible and a good target.

Will be reporting to the ACCC now.

Got a call today claiming to be from Accident Investigation Department Sydney asking I had any accident happens in the last 2 years. I also noticed it was fishy because the line was muffled and they had very bad accents. When I asked their phone number they insisted that I have to ring (02) 2806 7373 instead of 2806 7373 from Sydney and the company name changed to Sydney Claims Lawyers.

An indian guy called Kevin rang & said he was enquiring about an accident reported from my number 3 years ago - we asked for his number & when we called back we got an answer phone

These guys are pure evil who target the elderly in our case. Shame on you!

Exact same scam happened to me today. I rang the number back and there was an answering machine and I left a heap of abuse. That part was fun...

Just received a phone call from this number. The lady, with an indian accent, on the other side said she was from Accident Department. I said I didnt hear you. Then, she hang up.

They called my mobile then hung up when I spoke. So I called back, 3 times. This time a male with strong Indian accent told me they are "Sydney Claims Lawyers" 133 Elizabeth St, level 3, and wanted to know if me are anyone I know had been involved in an accident recently. I asked if I could come a see them in person and which suite they were in, he said level 3, "the whole level, you must be very successful, that's a big building" I said... They picked the wrong person to annoy!!
