3 missed call today so I decided to answer the call just now and I got the same story. A female with an accent who said “I’m calling from legal assist, were you involved in an accident in the last 2 years” to which I replied “you have the wrong number” and she hung up!😡

Repeated calls I don’t answer because I don’t know the number. Glad to have this resource here to see who is behind the calls. Thanks to everyone who posted. I’m curious how they select the numbers they call. And whether there is any Govt agency to report scam caller to....

Caller: Vehicle Assist

its a scammer, asking about a reported vehicle accident that I was "supposedly" involved with. They call every few weeks sometimes they say they are a law firm. Considering I don't have a car I find it hilarious.

I told the (Indian) caller I would like their assistance to sue the other driver as they appeared to be the only ones who cared about 99 year old blind drivers involved in accidents after going through Red lights.......the bastard hung up...

Had a missed call from 0488 863 266 at 6.47pm tonight (showed actual Perth local time, which is unusual as my phone usually shows Eastern States time)
Rang number back and an electronic voice said “You were contacted by Accident Advice Management, please press 1 for an adviser to contact you”
They are Phishing Scammers going by the name 'Accident Advice Management', though they call themselves 'lead generators' to try to give it legitimacy. They get people's phone numbers somehow (I suspect hacking Gumtree) and ring trying to get further personal details, which they then sell to other companies and individuals. This mob use the pretense that they are ringing to offer legal assistance in regards to an accident you were involved in. Lots of us have been involved in accidents, and it seems enough of us fall for this ploy and hand over our name and other details, to make it worth their lousy while.

hahaha same experience as everyone else ... "Legal Assist" in Sydney, about a recent car accident.. I called her a liar and she hung up ... pretty sure I'd remember having a car accident :/

Indian accent -- "Calling from Legal Assist, how are you". I hung up. Hope they die a slow and painful death. SCAMMERS!

Same as above. The woman told me I had an accident.
She sounded an Asian (south to south-east).

Caller was obviously Asian and only just started his spiel when I hung up. Never answer the phone if I don't recognise the number then immediately check Reverse Australia. Thank you, I've been getting these calls for 3 years and unfortunately can't block the numbers on my phone but they are so cunning and continue to use different numbers.

Bad accent, asking about a previous motor accident in the last 2 years and mentioned personal injury claims before I hung up.

Definitely scammers stating I was in a car accident two years ago. Easy to pick up as it was a lady with an indian accent, hard to understand, and I was not in an accident two years ago. Best to hang up and block the number. Hope that works.

Received a call from a lady asking if I had an accident in the last 3 years, I said no and she asked what about my family, when I asked why she was calling she said it was something to do with personal injury... I hung up.

Caller: Claimed to be a company called "Legal Assist"

Scammers who claimed they were calling from "Legal Assist" regarding injuries that occurred in a recent accident. I have never been involved in any accident involving injuries, so told them to stop annoying me and told them not to ring back.

said from legal assist and got my number via a recent survey. Told him hadn't done a survey, hadn't had a car accident in last two years and can call my solicitor if anyone has told him i had hit them. Hung up very quickly.

A lady in Indian accent saying that I was involved in a motor vehicle accident. I just quickly hung up and blocked the number. Scammers.
