Caller: PayPal 2FA Text It's legit PayPal. I came here because I was getting these messages even though I wasn't online shopping, this had me thinking it was a scam... The missus was trying to buy something tho and called me up for the codes.

they got into ur phone as soon as u opened the line by pressing Y or N. what appears to be a Y actually has coded data attached to that letter. Those 2 letters they guided u to, would of had links attached to open the gateway making all your information now available to them...... Let me ask u a question : Do u feel sometimes that someone is right there in your phone at the exact time you are? Its not a plesant thought. I was too naive to know modern everyday tech was available to anyone whos interested enough to buy it online. I always knew something was not as it should be, but after 3 years of certain things occurring again and again. Finding weird stuff they'd not yet deleted, 5 phones latwr (nit broken in any way ) I screen shot anything abnormal and now looking back, once I had a few interesting screen shots, find myI would have my phone would automatically get activated and I got locked out of the phone. Last year when this all came to light and I spoke to family for the first time about my suspicions, I anticipated find my phone would get activated..... it was a constant tug of war on the On - Off button. Seriously when u know, u finally know. I didnt allow them to activate the find my phone. Its remote access, they see whatever ur looking at on your screen. U go to banking, type ur password .... they are just taking notes the whole time. But u know, trust me. U can feel the times ur not alone.

Have been getting PayPal security codes from this number since May 2022. Recently got one sent yesterday and one today which I never requested. Someone might be spoofing PayPal's actual number or I've only just realised that this is a scam number.

Caller: SMS from PayPal This number is definitely PayPal. Received an SMS advising me of a refund from Kmart . I had received an email from Kmart approx 30 minutes before receiving the SMS advising me the item I had ordered was out of stock. I understand why people are suspicious it’s a scam, PayPal should be more responsible and list/advertise this number on their website so their customers can be saved the time & hassle of having to investigate the legitimacy of the number!

Today I received 5 texts from this number with a security code. Very swiftly, one after the other, and different codes. Yes, I have a PayPal account, but was not attempting to transact at that time, so seems Scammy to me. Password changed!!

Scam call. There was a recorded message, pretending to be Australian Government, that there is an important announcement, Press 1 for English, or Press 2 for Chinese. The recording ended there. How come can it assume that I am Chinese? Probably from my non-English surname. However, Australian government does not usually call people this way. Definitely a scam.

Caller: fake Paypal Probably a scam. My daughter received a PayPal security code confirmation when she was asleep and she doesn't have an account. Unless someone has accidentally used her phone number. But this number is a very similar number to one I have received legit PayPal texts from 0458 729 725) - sounds dodgy

Caller: Paypal It said I had to authorise a pay now for a certain amount and gave me a name and number to press if I wanted to cancel. I didn't know the persons name or number that I supposedly was giving money to.There was also a link. I know it's a fake they sent an email as well. I reported the number and blocked it. I know it wasn't Pay Pay. I certainly haven't purchased anything for a long time.
