Scam! I'm sick of this number. They're trying a number of ways to hack my bank details. One is using PayPal as an excuse and another is using City Link tolls. Catch these pricks!

On five occasions at least I have received security numbers from this number when logging into my PayPal account, and everything was above board.

Perhaps if you receive an 'unsolicited' message and believe it's a scam, then the number may be spoofed and should be ignored ?

Message with "10 minute time limit" arrived at 2:16am when i was asleep, so definitely not using PayPal!
None of the three genuine PayPal payments i have made this week triggered a text like this. Considering the number of reports from people who don't have PayPal accounts yet are receiving these, it seems dodgy. Read other comments and decide for yourself.

I have not used my PayPal account in many years, but got an SMS in early hours of the morning.

Received a text message about the payment from PayPal. Checked my PayPal account and the funds will be withdrawn from my PayPal account. To avoid being ripped off your money or scam, you should not click on any link given from the text messages. Always check your account on the app or your laptop is the best solution that I can recommend.

PayPal - Sent me a security code - expiring in 10 minutes and don't share code. This was at 12.34am and i definitely wasn't doing anything with paypal at that time. Wish those scammers go and get a real job like us

Received a scan message saying I’d received a refund of a nominal amount but I don’t use PayPal so I know THIS IS A SCAM! Block this number and do not reply, or do anything they request! Also ensure you report this on here to warn others please.

Bot voice to say Amazon will charge me for account renewal. Just just hung up as I do not have an Amazon acct.

I got a code sent to me but I hadnt logged in or tried to use pyapal so either someone is trying to log into my paypal or the code is fake

Figured it a scam and checked my account and nil issues.
Number was 0485 872 975, now blocked!
