Same scam as the others, Away in N.Z really wanted the bed delivered for when he got home. Where was I, B.S.B details or Pay Pal or secure online bank transfer. Even gave the link to set up a Pay Pal account. Sounds too good to be true!! . Did not answer his email as it smelt BAD. As the others have said quick off the mart after posting the ad on Gumtree.
Nearly identical email as Theresa Benson.
I will be notifying Gum Tree .

Just put an add up on gumtree selling a bed, and no more that 5 minutes later (which is wayyyyy too quick to have a response, i was suspicious straight away) I receive a message saying she was interested and the best way to be contacted was via email and wanted my email to talk to me. I gave her a google and took me here. I have reported her and hopefully she gets whats coming.

Same deal as above. Sounded suspicious so I googled her name and this site came up. Thank goodness I am so appreciative of sites like this and to have my suspicions confirmed. This was in response to a bed I had for sale on Gumtree today. Her message came through within minutes of my listing it. Beware of Theresa Benson who apparently is a bloke.

Hey guys, this person just tried to scam me aswel. I thought it didn't sound right her asking for my best email to contact me on and my bsb and account number or PayPal on hold payments. Googled her name and found this site!!!! Can't believe no one has saughted it out. I looked further into her and found that she is a he and has tried scamming people on dating sites aswel!!!

Theresa benson back at it same email as others received , replied to the ad within minutes of posting on Gumtree , can’t something be done. Her email address is Beautyja@ Hotmail.com

On the PayPal community page her name was “Karen Smith” in 2014,2015,2016,2017. She tried to scam me today for some furniture. [Billiard table $2000, Round table set $80, 2 Beds and mattress $240, Removable bar and stools $1500] Her name was Theresa Benson and the email was beautyja19 @ hotmail.com . Everyone please be careful of her she asked for $1500 from us for the shipping to her holiday house in Perth. We said we will wait for you $1500 to arrive then we can send it to Western Union. But she insisted we use our own money first, but luckily my 14 yr old daughter learnt about different types of scams in IT class a few weeks ago, so she just said don’t it’s probably a scam. Everyone please be careful when putting an item down in a website for sale. Just look at the email and never do online purchases on gumtree or Facebook market place without actually meeting the person first.
