I also got a quick response to a bed on sale on gumtree. Same email about working for flagship marine. I stupidly enough gave them my bank details but have not proceeded with anything else.

Feel so stupid and really angry about it. Don’t get scammed. Have tried to contact gumtree to let them know but can’t get on to them.

that person changed into UJU - any one ask to contact by email only for a gumtree sale is a scam, more likely.

It is even still active nowadays. that guy (I guess, linda is a fake name) avoid phone contact.

payment, however i just got a confirmation mail from the shipping
agent now that i will need to pay for the freighting fees before they
can schedule pre-shipping/ pickup date,they charged $1,050 for the
pick up and delivery, but the problem is they only accept Tranferwise
money transfer as a form of payment which is sent to their HQ.

I need a Credit or Debit card to personally take care of that but I didn't
bring it along as I am currently on duty and had thought there would
be no need for bringing it along.

As you are well aware of, due to the nature of my work am away and do
not have access to Tranferwise, most Store have
transferwise section and you can also send it online at www.transferwise.com.au
will it be ok with you if I add the $1,050 to the
amount I am transferring? and you can help me make the transferwise

We replied as at first we thought it could be genuine so continued the emailing. This is the rest of the emailing (just blanking out some personal details). By the end we were getting asked about using 'tranferwise' on their behalf, which got me digging deeper and discovering the SCAM before it was too late..

I’ve reported her/him and hope everyone else has!
