I received an email message that sounded suspicious from the above who claimed to work for a Flagship Marine company in NZ. Thought I'd do some research and ended up here.

Several years ago I had an "oil rig worker" attempt to fraudulently buy a watch from me, but fortunately I smelled a rat and cancelled the deal.

Thank you so much just received and email from her and thought it was suspicious.

She has struck again overnight in response to an ad 8 posted on Gumtree - how do we stop this? Thanks so much for the heads up

She’s still scamming with the exact same story! Please be aware of people who find you on gumtree and are wanting to spend 3 times the amount on a courier to “pick up” it’s not logical! I asked her where abouts was she located as I may be able to assist her rather than her spending so much on delivery and she said she was in Perth. (She knew I was in NSW.)

Be careful!!! Always do your research!

I was selling a piece of furniture on Gumtree and received an email from Geoff Facer and one from Theresa Benson. Both sounded similar, far too detailed and immediately raised alarm bells. Beware!

Email from Geoff:
"I'm very happy to read back from you. I'm currently at my son's place here in Exmouth-WA for his wedding ceremony coming soon. also I will not be able to meet you for inspection and collection because I will be here spending my leave with the new family till February 2020, but I have a personal representative agent that will meet you for collection after payment has been made.

I cannot take calls or make one due to my ear barotrauma from my last air flight, I barely hear clear and my email is the best channel for me to communicate. I want the agent to deliver it to my new house in Exmouth-WA before my arrival. I am ready to make the payment so get back to me with the details below :

Account number. BSB. Name. Final price: Are you the Owner? Pick up Location? send me your paypal email

That is all I need in order to make the payment through a secure online bank transfer from my bank to yours.
