Same problem here, continued nuisance calls despite requesting removal of my number.
My question is which Telco is responsible for providing theses companies an Australian based phone number, if they did THEIR jobs properly there would not be calls form scammers from outside Australia and believe me they are not on shore..

Twice called, first one was in regards to Telstra then it changed to Benefit Deal 3 months later from the same mobile number 0488 829 086
Calling from South Melbourne to sell me Solar Panels claiming I am listed as the home owner when I am only the renter.

i get a Nuisance call on saturday at 1.45pm and they hung up 10/4/21

If you have any information about these criminals please contact the Australian Federal Police, there are so many people who want to shut them down, they are criminals mate.

yo these f*ckers keep calling me from different numbers, they are obviously not Australian. Every call I've had with them over the past year or so has been an indian man/lady speaking. There's definitely a scam call center functioning through the basis of random Australian numbers. I just feel bad for the people that are falling for this bullsh*t.

Call from (03) 8372 4314 - Very noisy background, like a call centre. Indian accent, I told them that their company does not show up on ASIC, which threw the caller. Still insisted legitimate company from 'South Australia'. Hung up when I said.." You're a scammer" .
Blocked the number which came up as a potential fraud. No doubt will call again to tell me my computer has a virus or something - Last night called that caller a scammer and he called me a Bi*&h - a female dog. Charming.

They had my mobile number and my name.Asked for my Energy company and I told him not interested Im happy with current provider. Just before I could tell him to take me off their data base, he hung up. I called the number (03) 8372 4314 and waited and waited no one answered so I hung up. I have blocked this number from my phone.

Just had a call from (03) 8372 3232, showing up as Craigieburn, Victoria. Background sounded like an overseas call centre though. Guy with slight Indian or Filipino accent said he's calling from Benefit Deal which is an energy comparison company. Sounded like a scam to me. I kindly said that I'm not interested, but he persisted that I listen to the rates. I declined again and he hung up. It's kind of worrying that they had my full name, mobile & suburb. Clearly another company has sold my details to them.

Called by these scammers today, said they were in south melbourne.. i said i knew they were in Kolcata India (where 95% of scams come from) and they admitted it. I hit record on my phone and proceeded to waste an hour and a half of their time discussing energy rates and the weather in melbourne.. checked the recording and... no audio.. maybe next time.

Received a call from (03) 8372 3235 to propose to me "better electricity deals".
When asked from where he got my number he said it's from a calling register.
When I said my number is a private number he said no problem.
When I said I do not want to discuss my electricity he hung up.

Multiple calls - I returned the call and was offered an option to block, which I've done 3 times to no avail.
If you ever do get to speak to someone, don't feel as if you should be polite.

My company was pacific gas and electric, pacific like the ocean.
Told them I couldn’t find them on google, “must be a technical error”
Gave them the address of the state parliament for my address, they hung up after that.
Also I had a really bad Scottish accent throughout the call
