Could not understand the person Caller: Scammer with overseas accent
Knew my full name, said from Telstra, asked about my modem and wireless extender numbers. Telstra don’t ask for this, they have it on file.
Got very argumentative, a call to Telstra confirmed it was a scam.
Caller: Telstra re closing a fault reported on NBN
Legit, very polite woman asking me whether fault had been fixed wanted my full name and dob which i declined to give but message came through on a number which i know is tester confirming case was closed as she told me it would.

Following up an issue I had with my Internet service. Problem is, they called at 6.45pm and so I don't answer it, even though I'd like to have spoken with them. Why can't they call back during normal business hours?

I have been trying to solve a problen with Telstra for Months - message bank problem (keypad prompts which done work) land line.
Anyhow this muppet calls back and was indeed polite - but he calls when iam on the road so he arranges to send me a text No for me to respond to when i get back to the office and heres where the fun starts.
I respond and send reply - no call back.
Rings back next day - 1 ring you probably know the rest.
I text back no reply
And now this peanut rings at 5.30 in the morning 4 rings and then a text message berating me and whinging that they get no repsonse.
Injteresting prior commentry - if indeed it is a scam then somebody has intercepted thier fault call system because it seems to have originated from my enquiry.

I got a text from “Telstra"(spoof) that my one time pass code was...... I messaged Telstra on my app to check because I hadn't tried to access anything. I did open the text, unfortunately, they can tell it is a real number when you do. A lot of spam is sent to randomly generated numbers. The message was different to the usual Telstra one that sends similar messages because it didn't go into the same conversation. But convincing enough for me to check it. Telstra on chat on their app said it was spam. A minute after the spam text this number called me and the smart whatever on my phone later marked it as Telstra. Spoofing again. I did not answer. Telstra said this number is spam too. So really convincing scammers and I hope the people here who spoke to them did not provide any information. I blocked this and the text number. I mean really, how often do Telstra call anyone? It is Telstra. Return call about a fault logged. Had the fault number I called Telstra Number 132200 after receiving a text message about a fault with my internet / NBN service .
15 minutes on call, gave them details because i did ring telstra number . He COULD NOT answer or even give me any solution or what the problem was from their end .
i had to read my tect message to him, i also gaveore info of other faults and what can they do about it .. All ge kept saying was "Thank you for giving me your information " He had no solution to anything at all not even what the fault was for the trxy message i got sent .
He all my personal details, i did have to confirm all details when he read it out to me as well .
Kids screaming in background ( yes am aware its covid time -work from home deal) but with no solutions to anything i hung up .
Got two phone calls IMMEDIATLEY from from (02) 9459 8000
If i couildnt even get a single solution nor even a test of service from their end then im assuming that its spam .
Checked on here , seems im not the only one to assume this

Telstra have been hacked by Indian scammers. I reported my phone fault and got a sequence number and it may take 7 days before repair. 2 days later I get this Indian guy calling me whose command of english was hopeless. He knew my all my details and modem set up but insisted on requiring my dob before proceeding. I couldn't understand his horrible english so I said goodbye. I then rang back and got a very convincing Telstra Jane Holmes recording saying they will call me back or I could re report it to 132200. I think these scammers have spoofed (02) 9459 8000 together with the Jane Holmes recorded voice. Either way Telstra's Andy Penn has to get on top of this Indian monkey business.

Got a call from this number yesterday,Saturday afternoon,asked if I was home,I said no I am not,told me I have an internet problem,he asked when would I be home I replied 9am Monday,said he would call me then,cant wait to get his call,Telstra my arse.

Someone called me and wanted to check if my fault was corrected. With a deep voice and Indian accent. He knew my name. I made no call to Telstra but got an email saying my services are working on 4G back up data? They said they would call back, which they did. But I did not give them a chance. Last time I had a Telstra problem, I rang Telstra numerous times and chatted in the chat box, and got no response. Why would I believe they are ringing me with a courtesy call to investigate something that I did not report.
The email says it was from enquiries @ support-team.telstra.com Genuine or not? I think not.

Telstra called regarding a faulty I lodged two days ago. She had my reference number and after she said the case closed. I see the message from my Telstra app said case closed.

The caller had some knowledge of my account info but didn't know the fault numbers i had registered with Telstra. They asked if issues were fixed and said would get back to me with update. They didn't ask for restricted info but seemed suspicious. I contacted Telstra via message in Telstra app, they looked into it and decided that it was a Telstra person even though the call wasn't recorded in log on my account
If telstra reads this, can they stop using indian people to talk to australians. I have nothing against indian people at all, but it takes so long to complete a transaction with them due to accent, and dissimilar thinking patterns. Telstra should not inflict this torture on their Australian customers. When you get to speak to an Australian (rare, I know) it is bliss. Straight to the point, job done. Much higher productivity. Perhaps we could have a march in the cbd's of all states to protest this abuse. Loud caller saying they are from Telstra regarding a fault (but I didn't report one!) but from their first breath started asking for my personal details and would not give me any details of why they were calling until i gave out my details so after then wouldn't stop reading from their call sheet so I hung up. Caller: i didn't answer as suppose to be blocked
I actually blocked this number and now when they ringt it goes to my voicemail and they now leave a message WTF cant even block these scum of the earth now
