Caller: Fake nbn Indian agent Indian male caller knew my name and address and said my internet (nbn) connection was registering as faulty. I have become very suspicious of cold callers and asked this guy many questions. After stating that my nbn is working fine, he said he knows otherwise and that I know nothing about technology. He tried to overpower me so I hung up on him.

Caller: (02) 9459 8000 Message left saying they were from Telstra and to phone them back on a 1800 number to discuss a reported fault. We haven’t reported a fault and don’t have a fault. Spoke to Telstra who confirmed phone number was not Telstra and they will never call customers to fix a fault, they always just update the fault via SMS. So number is a SCAM

Caller: ? From Telstra Received a phone call from a young lady with a thick indian accent claiming from Telstra that knew my name & also knew I had email issues .... I've just hung up as I felt it was very dodgy & had a bad gut feeling, nearly all Indians that call me are just trying to scam you & I feel this case is no different .

Today told me there would be a charge for what he was offering. I gave him the short shift. Very confusing ?????? Scsm

Unknown missed call, I am expecting a Telstra callback however, but not at this timing, as other have said, a leak within Telstra or more likely their software/systems. They called at the same time as I recieved a text from a real Tesltra number!

Two missed calls, voice mail (I could barely understand) & text saying follow up to fault lodged. No fault has been lodged. Another text 3 hours later to say they’d call in 5 minutes to follow up fault lodged (looks to be from legit Telstra text number that has been used before) & call followed. Total scam, we have not lodged anything. I have blocked the number.

Caller: Telstra It's Telstra in relation to NBN issues. I have a current NBN breakdown. They tried to call and then I messaged back in the app. They needed more info/booking in repair dates.

Caller: NBN Seems legit nbn call as I received a notification on the Telstra app straight after saying they’re wanting to check if a fault is fixed. It’s not, but I can’t understand much of what the guy in voicemails is saying so I’d rather not deal.

I reported an internet fault to Telstra, I was put through to a woman from the Phillipines, she said someone would call me. The next day I got a call from another woman from the phillipines and the first thing she asked was that I plug the modem cord into my laptop, I found this very suspicious as I have had a couple of previous issues and no one has asked me to do this. I said ring me back later. I rang Telstra and they said it was a scam. I’m sure many people would definitely fall for this especially if you do have a fault. When I rang Telstra I said I will not speak with anyone from overseas. Spoke to an Aussie in Sydney who sorted it all out.

This number called me at 6 in the morning. Any business that thinks I'm going to answer a call this early is nuts. Like many of these comments, I think this is a very poor business decision if indeed this is genuine.

Pretened to be from 'Telstra internet services' to talk about my 5G service. I don't have an account with Telstra. It's a total scam. Sounded like an Indian call centre.

Caller: Telstra This seems legit, I just ordered a 5G modem for my new place and had not installed it yet, presume this is a follow up courtesy call.

Caller: Telstra Received a call from this number while talking to Telstra online. Online chat didn’t recognise the number but they are dumb. Emailed cyber security from Telstra they confirmed the number was legitimate. The number also arranged for nbn to come out and fix my internet, Which nbn did. Never did they ask me to confirm my identity but definitely had access to my internet and could see what was going on.
