Said they were Coles Financial Services but I suspect not. 10 seconds in to the call they said they couldnt hear me and hung up

They also send me emails with similar offers immediately after I have paid my monthly credit card account. Do not currently require assistance so will block number.

Same number called me a couple of days ago. Caller ID came up as ;unknown', I did not answer the call - and no voicemail message was left. I am neither a customer of Coles Supermarkets or any financial institution associated with them, including Citigroup / Citicorp. I tried returning the call out of curiosity and kept getting a recorded message that "all our operators are busy" on 5 different occasions. Interesting that the recorded message on their end never identified what organisation I was calling, but offered to allow me to leave a voicemail. So, I did - on 5 occasions. Only problem was that I had deliberately BLOCKED their number on my phone. If they can waste my time, then I am more than happy to return the favour. Classic scam call from this number..

Caller: Coles Excerpt from an email received from Coles on May 18th: "Subject to regulatory approval, National Australia Bank Limited ("NAB") will purchase Citi's Australian consumer banking business. We expect this to happen on 1 June 2022 (the "transfer date") and are writing to let you know what this means for your Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard."

Caller: Coles Financial Services Sick of Coles Finances cold calling with special offers to suck you in to more credit, not that stupid. Was hoping that now NAB brought this service out from 1st June 2022, that calls would stop, even worse now.

Caller: Said se was calling about my NAB Coles Credit Card I only said hello and nothing after she gibbered something I couldn't understand due to her poor English. Then she hung up. If not a scam, it was very unprofessional and Coles should shut down if this was telemarketing. Does the Coles image no good at all. I have now blocked the number on my phone

Got a message saying I had missed a call from this number today (3 May 2022) and that no message was left. There was no record of any such missed call on my phone. I suspect this is the latest scam tactic, as I have had other similar messages using different numbers and no record of any missed call on my phone. It seems to be a pretty dumb, but annoying tactic.

Caller: Asian accented lady from CFS?? You can log in to your acc and send a secure message requesting they do not call you with unnecessary lending offers. This is what I have done after complaining via email and was told this was how to stop calls. Hopefully it works

Have received calls on 06/04/22, 09/04/22, 14/04/22 and 19/04/22 I do not answer calls from unknown numbers especially 02 numbers and they do not leave a message. From reading previous posts believe this to be CFS but I won't be calling them back.

The "indian sounding" man asked if this number was showing on my phone? Smelt a rat straight away. Then wanted my postcode. Do these scammers now have a way to show a number on your phone thats not ligit to make them look credible?

You can log in to your acc and send a secure message requesting they do not call you with unnecessary lending offers. This is what I have done after complaining via email and was told this was how to stop calls. Hopefully it works
