Same as other comments here. Centrelink do not call like this. They have all the details required if you are receiving payments. I hope no one falls for this scam

I received the same call as your parents did. But I called them back and the guy who answered my call said that it's Centrelink. He had an Indian accent and after a while he told me that I am asking too many questions and told me to F...off and hang up on me.

Same message by "Computer" generated Australian woman's voice advising that my Centrelink Application (No. 080456) file has now moved to Centrelink's Head Office in Canberra.

Robotic sounding voice. Centrelink scam? No reply on phone when I rang back.

Last two days my mum has been receiving an automated machine to call (02) 9099 1773 and quote 080456 the last two days. I called today man answered saying centrelink . And you can hear them in the background speaking Indian . He asked for my postcode I answered that but realised it was a scam and hung up.
Now that I called back on a private number thru my mobile I questioned the man he hung up on me. And now won't answer.
SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Same Indian caller upset my daughter-in-law. From these comments it hs been going on since October 2017. Wouldnt you think that the feds would do something about it. No because they are all a mob of lazy curry munchers and probably one of themis doing it

3 missed calls then a voice to text stating they had sent me mail I rang said I had nothing with them he asked me if I was a pensioner & if I had paid my tax I questioned if it was Centrelink line went dead I phoned back line rang out next time it was music

I just had the very same type of call as everyone else here has reported with this number, including the same reference number 080456 and instructions to ring Canberra because my file has been transferred there after I failed to respond to messages from Centrelink. so to make sure i called the centrelink myself and confirmed that no one from Centerlink has called. So it is 100% SCAM SCAM SCAM

Same as the others above, 3:30pm today. Quoting the same number, robot voice. Funny thing is they must start their speech as pick up, which is an answering machine. I didn't hear who was calling as that was cut off the recording.

Robot talking about tax evasion is an offense and asking us, or our criminal lawyer, to call 020991773. What do scammers gain out of this time wasting exercise. No way would I call them back.

Phone rang, I answered but no response.
I phoned back, call was answered "Department of Human Services".
I said I'd received a call, the person (usual accent) asked if I received Centrelink.
I responded "Let's face it you're a scammer"
His reply was (verbatim) "Send me your wife, I f*ck her".
I said pardon ?
He repeated the line.
I told him it would not be possible as he doesn't have a d*ck.

For some reason the call ended at that point.

got same recording today as all the above - scam - my gov is the communication Centrelink use, not long winded voice messages.

Scam. Scam. Scam. I'm 40 years away from retiring and have no gov payments.

Called saying I'm owed back pay from Centerlink. I don't receive payments from CL! Quoted a case number 080456. These ppl are scammers.

Message left on home phone- same as all those above. Knew it was a scam. Centrelink send notifications of letters through MyGov.

Automated message left on answering machine. Same reference number and phone number as all others posted here. Not on the pension anyway. SCAM!!

I don't know what type of scam it is, as I didn't call the number back in case I was somehow diverted to an expensive phone connection (maybe that is how they get money from you??). Unfortunately I do have to depend on Centrelink at the moment, but on checking my account on the MyGov website, there were no unanswered messages from them.
