Recorded message in a foreign accent (male, US or Canadian) saying I had an outstanding tax liability with the ATO, the matter was urgent to avoid prosecution and I or my legal representative should ring back immediately using this number

I have received the same call as all above! Lucky i didn't answer the call! The automated lady asking me to call back and lodge my application number, i have backed payments and had received notices! I checked my Gov and nothing!! Bloody scammers. I knew when i check it was weird as i normally get an email notice if i receive anything from centrelink.

Recorded message left about my lack of response to paperwork sent to me about my aged pension. Shame I’m about 40 years too young to even get a pension.

Same as all the above. I didn't waste my time ringing them back.
Question is though; why can't these guys be shut down and charged ??

Same as all the above. ALL our dealings with Centrelink are via mygov.au or face to face. Why can't these people be shut down is the question ???

Yep, same for me, didn't even change the application number I had to quote 80456. Seems to be doing the rounds again, just like the Telstra one

SCAM ALERT: I got a call from a robotic female voice regarding non response to correspondence about pension back pay and increases. I was to call a Centrelink Office in Canberra (02) 9099 1773) and quote reference 080456. Most correspondence these days from Centrelink is via the myGov site. Idiot Scammers at it again!

I received the same SCAM phone call as everyone else, i.e wanting my details so they can back pay me my centerlink payments. What I don't understand is with all the reports to the ACCC, why they don't put any resources into catching this guy. I can see people reporting this as far back as in Nov last year, and now it is nearly April, so that is at least 5 months they have had to catch him, and stop this. I can imagine some elderly people falling for this and giving their details, to be robbed.

This number is obviously a scam. It looks like they send out automated message saying your pension is being reduced and try to get you to call back. When you call back they try and get personal details from you. BEST TO Ignore the call. DO NOT call back. Unless you are sure of with whom you are talking, do not give anyone your personal details (Name, Date of birth etc.) as they can use this information to steal your identity. Good luck.
