This is clearly a scam, but what is scary is that they knew that my bill was overdue and my first and last name (which I confirmed assuming it was telstra), then they asked me to confirm my DOB (I didnt confirm and hung up at this point, so not sure what other information they had). Super scary.

they should still not request you to confirm personal details, cant they just send a text message reminding to pay the bill

This is NOT Telstra - first message was an automated message in a foriegn language with lots of crackling in the background, second phone call they hung up, third phone call they wanted my DOB, didn't pick up the next two calls. Five phone calls in one day - my bill is not overdue.

Number has called me twice today in regards to an ‘urgent message from Telstra’ but says it’s a message for some guy who’s name I’ve never even heard of before..
Definitely not a legitimate caller

I keep getting missed calls from this number and they don't leave a message. If this were really Telstra I would think they would leave a voicemail message. Seems scammy to me!!! If they call me again I will blow my whistle in the f*ckers ear!!!

They want me to press numbers and claim not to be telemarketers. Some above claim that they're chasing a debt but given I don't have a Telstra account, this can't be right.

Best to not press any numbers & block the number (on iPhone) or list it as scam caller on your latest android phone.

very confusing, some say "definitely a spam" & some say "Telstra ringing to ask about your bill"

How was it confirmed to be fraudulent. I found it to be genuine. They wanted me to pay my overdue bill. They knew exactly how much was owing. I forgot my account number and it would not let me proceed.
