Caller: Telstra Repeated missed calls from this number. No message ever left so I've ignored. Finally accepted the call to be told its from Telstra. No indication what its about, just press '1". Which, clearly I'm not going to do! Telstra should know better than contacting people this way, if it is, as someone suggested a real query about an unpaid bill. I'm still not going to answer it. They can call me directly, since lets face it they know my number, or send me an email...

I am reading that this number is Telstra chasing bill payment. But I am not with Telstra so I am just going to confirm what a majority of people are saying here, which means it has to be a scam.

Caller: Scammer Called my workplace multiple times and when I answered it was a voicemail saying they were from Telstra and to press one. My company is not with Telstra so this is a scam caller, I hung up. I have reported them to https://www.cyber.gov.au/ who deals with Fraud in Australia. I hope they enjoy their jail time.

This is a scam call purporting to be Telstra since at least 2013 - Why is it that they haven't been put out of business?

This is definitely a legit Telstra number. It’s a recorded service about an overdue account, giving options to pay, postpone for a set period, etc.

Caller: Robocaller It rang x 3 in a row. Message2text said "Telemarketer press one for...." IF this is Telstra as others claim I know they do not contact me this way when a payment is overdue. They disconnect me first then email saying my account is overdue and "your services have been restricted". This Sydney landline number does not exist if you call it back hiding your phone number.

Same as all the other complaints. I think it’s a scam. Keep getting these calls from time to time. Do not answer.

Watch your billing, because if you pressed 'one' on your keypad it may be taken that you have willingly subscribed to a service you don't want like premium SMS
