2 calls within a couple hours. I don’t answer random numbers but both times they left voicemails. The 1st time the message said: “not a scam press 1”, the second time the message said “call” Both super strange. Just googled it and it lead me to this page. I don’t have a Telstra account either I do pre paid so I won’t be calling them back lol. Scam.

Message states it's Telstra and you press 1 to continue. I rang Telstra and the number is NOT theirs - SCAM. Please block all calls from this number!

Those of you who are saying they keep ringing and annoy the shizzit out of people, you are correct. But people who say it is a scam are wrong. Today, August 2022, this number is a nag debt call: a recorded message about overdue bill(s). It is highly dubious that the average fly by night scammer is still on the same no. after 6 years without being shut down, don't y'all agree? I owe those gangsters 50 bucks for an internet SIM card account that I don't use and they failed to close when I asked . If you don't have a telstra acct then it is a mistake or look back and see if you had one ages ago that is still outstanding.

Caller: (02) 8070 2203 SCAM CALLER -> NOT TELSTRA

SCAM CALL. Have phoned my landline 3 times today. I have an answering machine & the 3rd time they called they played their msg about this not being a scam call, but an important call from TELSTRA, etc... I don't have any accounts with Telstra nor is my name Caroline Davenport.

**There is actually a listing on here from Telstra Customer Security & Support from April 14, 2021:

Telstra Customer Security & Support
April 14, 2021 Scam call Australia

Caller: Fraudulent enterprise

"Definitely not a call from Telstra, as all customers have accounts that require secure access, to which, when entered, enables full control of the customer account, including bill payment.
If possible, never give out or enter credit card information or any other personal data when you accept a call, phone numbers can be spoofed, even links provided by scam emails can lead you to very convincing fake websites, and for those who don't know if even this site can be trusted, read the disclaimer at the very bottom: anyone can enter information on here, claim that it was the cops that called you and urge you to pay.
Worst case scenario, visit any of their customer care shops to be certain.
For those who got a call and was instantly hung up on, even calls asking you to press a key on your phone, that would have been scammers confirming that there's a person on the other end of the number, before they give it out to their team/s to attempt to defraud you of your money.
Stay safe, everyone."

Pretty sure this is legiit, if it was a scammer they did pretty good knowing my personal details and how much was due on my account. Seems it is an error at Telstra to receive the call as the direct debit was paid automatically 2 weeks ago (confirmed)

Telstra say it's cause the system "hasnt caught up yet"

Typical Telstra useless as AF as usual

This number had been calling me for a few weeks and I ignored it, thinking it was a roboscam but I read some of the answers here and then checked and turns out my Telstra bill genuinely overdue so while I'm not saying "ANSWER IT", maybe just check your bill. I didn't answer or give details or anything of course. Companies should probably figure out a new way to contact us I suppose.

Yes its legit, I did have an outstanding amount with them for the amount quoted by this service and it lets you agree to a payment plan, hardly a scam.

Caller: Says they're Telstra - (02) 8070 2203

Several calls .. not answered because I had previously blocked this number.

Their call sounds like crap for sure as I always receive my Telstra bills by email & manually recharge my phone.

No reason whatsover they should be calling me .. that's why this number is permanently blocked.
