Yeah, something about my eBay account, which I don’t have. If only an app could scan a database and reject these numbers before my phone rings. I reckon it would take less than a second to scan thousands of numbers.

Caller: Scammer scammer called saying they’re from Telstra saying I’m eligible for a promotion as a Telstra customer. I’ve never been a Telstra customer but he was referring to me by a Nickname. Ive worked in telco and know they take I’d and use legal names only so this was automatically a red flag. I called him out and he wrapped the call up apologising he had incorrect records that indicated that nickname was my name and I was a Telstra customer.

Caller: Scammer Claimed to be from Telstra saying my mobile was eligible for some promotion. He was referring to me by a nickname not my legal name. I’ve never been a Telstra customer but have worked in telco and know they legally have to use your legal name (as per ID) on any accounts so this was automatically a red flag. When I told him i was not a Telstra customer and that that wasn’t my legal name he wraped up call apologising that his system was wrong.

Caller: Wagga Wagga I saw it was from Wagga Wagga. I've never been nor do I know anyone from there. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. I hid my phone and called back but the line was always 'busy' obvious scammer

Caller: I don't know but voice sounded very similar to an Amazon scam. This time was Ebay Phone number came up as coming from Wagga Wagga. Called stated he was from Ebay, and that there was a suspicious transaction of $200 that he could help with. Asked to have access to computer to step through the process of removing the transaction. Also stated that scammers usually asked for small amounts, and if they were successful then bigger payments would be taken. Threatened if he was not given access to computer to fix the problem, the phone calls would continue. Have not had any transactions with EBAY. Voice very very similar to an Amazon scam call
