This number rang me twice in 2 hours. ID said Wagga Wagga and I don't know anyone there, so didn't answer. Have now blocked the number after reading these comments.

Caller: Chinese Male

This number started playing an automated message in Chinese, and then in English claimed to be from the Department of Health. Following a brief moment of silence, a male voice began speaking in Chinese, to which I responded with 'Hello?' before being hung up on.

Caller: Scam Robocall regarding Amazon Prime renewal - and to cancel press 1 to speak to operator.. The number came up as a landline from Wagga Wagga (where I live)

This was most certainly a scam call as they directed me to the anydesk.com website, asking me to download the software. If they weren't planning on taking control of my computer remotely then why else would they lead me to this site? He said that it was so that they could connect up my computer with Amazon's 'satellite servers'. What a lot of rubbish. My father in law was ripped off thousands of dollars with a similar scam recently.
The woman who called, as well as her male IT assistant both had what sounded like Indian or Sri-lankan accents and sounded like they were in a call centre.
Here's the number they called from: (02) 6917 1707/">(02) 6917 1707 or (02) 6917 1707.

Caller: Scammer from you know where

I have so many of these numbers blocked. I didn't get to cancel my amazon order, pay my urgent bill or any other such fun games as they hung up on me. Shame, I had an interesting proposition of a difficult karma sutra position they might like to try on themselves. Kissing their own star.

Call originated from Wagga Wagga, I didn't answer it. I've been getting multiple calls a day from all over Australia! This is insane. Something needs to be done with these hassle callers.

Called me today, went through to voicemail (phone sent up to divert all numbers not in my contacts list). For everyone complaining why doesn't Telstra etc track down these scammers, this calls DO NOT come from an Australian number. Most phising/scam call centres are set up overseas, and use software that diverts numbers that look like Australian numbers to their call centres. Because they are overseas, Australian companies such as Telstra can't shut them down or do anything to stop them.

I give these calls literally 1 sec to speak, hang up and check here.
Then I block that number but they seem to try again on another number.
Might get a loud whistle !

Number from Wagga Wagga and I live in WA. Answered without speaking, which seems to through off the computer that tells someone that a person has picked up, and it hung up. Definitely a scam call judging by the number of complaints here.
